Also still in responce to all the online gameing things, yes xbox live is better, i dont think you will find a single person out there that will dissagree with you, but that is only because of the fact that it is a subscription service. playstation have gone for a completly different market. plus there is nothing wrong with the ps2 online ability, as i have said before the only problem i have ever had is with call of duty, and as already said that is not the console but the game itself. i have not once thort that i would rather have the xbox because of the online features.

once again the wonderfull stats of le google.....

'xbox 360 online problems' = 56,000,000 results
'ps3 online problems' = only 8,530,000 results

does that not tell you something??? ps3 might not have the wonderous subscription service that xbox does, but xbox online does go down more oftern stopping people from playing all together, ps3....might just have the occational match go down, or a couple of seconds of lag!!! whoop de do at least i am still playing!!

not an accurate way to argue your point at all, consider that xbox live has been around for 5 years or so longer than the playstation network. And thats worldwide. This means this stats mean nothing at all.
Plus alot of these "problems" will be people also not being able to connect or asking how to set up a wireless connection on the early xbox's. does not mean its people experiencing problem's once online and playing

everyone knows the ps3 online network is crap. its the one reason why i got rid of mine and went back to an xbox

Have been reading this thread and it does make me laugh. It is almost like the whole "Pointy v Curvy" debate etc.

At the end of the day, most XBox lovers will prefer Xbox and PS3 users the PS3.

Personaly I have never experienced issues with PSN other than with COD, it does what it says on the tin, upscales DVD's and plays Bluerays. Plus, if peeps begin buying 3d TV's it is already setup and ready (with the recent software updates) to play 3d Bluerays etc.

Edit - My experiences of XBok 360 have been limited to date, but the mere fact that some only come with enough Hard disk space to save games only put me right off (or at least the 360 my old man got given did).

All the games I like, I can play on PS3....so for me its the better choice. Plus most people I know are on PS3....

So Stig....like you've said....go with what you prefer asthetically. Seeing as your not really in to online gaming then I would suggest PS3...but after all, I am a PS3 owner!! :-D

Not true,

xbox 360 launch date was on 22nd november 2005 in USA, xbox live went live q4 2006 - 23 Million users to active in February 2010

Playstation 3 launch date 11th November 2006 - and playstation network was available from launch date. currently has 60 million active accounts worldwide so even if you were to say an average of 2 accounts per console is still 30million users it might be less i admit, i couldn't find the figures.

So really it doesn't have much in it at all, i think it is quite a valid point to use.

please can i just point out again, i am not saying that i think playstation network is better than xbox live, i still stand by the fact that live is the better platform, i am just sticking up for the fact that ps network is not as bad as everyone makes out to be, and live is not as flawless as everyone makes out to be!

 I made up my mind ages ago. PS3 it is going to be. I just need to find a subtle way over letting Foxy know what I want for my birthday. :)

Will see about getting the Xbox at some later date for the kids to use the kinnex thingy. :)
