Depends on the exhaust, but it's normally 45-50mm from the weld on the stock pipework. The exhaust forum at http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=137 has some piccys kicking around in there.

Re: Advice needed???!!!

It's VERY subjective about cans. Mine was cut about 1-2mm from the weld, for a scorpion high level, just so that the end of the can was in the right place at the back of the bike.

The strap that holds it in place (goes around the can) is still too far forward, so the can wobbles around a lot. Handy thing though, as when giving it some beans, the can wobbles more, and creates more pops/bangs due to air leaks.

Its been covered before have a read of this thread

Should have all the info you need.

Remember measure twice, cut once. You want to measure backward from the weld on the exhaust. I've marked the weld with a red arrow

A Fuel can with a CCC high level link pipe??

Are you sure they'll fit together? Please tripple check before cutting your exhaust. It could all end in tears!!

Get at least 3 high speed(Red Stanley ones) brand new hacksaw blades, unless you are using an engle grinder. Make sure you cut straight and not at an angle, put some tape round the pipe to help with this.
