well i was looking forward to come down to this given ive managed to go and get myself a winter hack (a 93 zzr 600 if you must know) but ive only just today been let out of the hospital after having my appendix out. so ive got a nice big scar accross my belly and thusly am not allowed to ride any motorbikes for a while. This also means that the tl projecthas now ground fully to a hault and will not be able to continue for at least a couple of months untill im happy i can lift a decent weight again.

If you need anyone to do anything for you to get this thing back on the road. I am now in a better position to lend a hand. That is assuming nothing comes up between the offer and the day the hand is required.

Dan, you have to answer a short questionaire to be considered part of the TVSF..

1) Have you got some attractive white boots? (Preferably Alpinestars)
2) Can you get lost at any stage of a rideout, including the very first road encountered?
3) Will you promise to turn up at a meet but then cancel at the last minute with some pathetic excuse (Hopsital appointment, demanding girlfriend, patch of rain 100 miles away are all acceptable..)
4) Will you be offended by ASM's billowing pants if you have to be tail end charlie for the day?

I'm coming and will be on the bike assuming the temperature is sufficiently above freezing. Will i have had my can/tail-tidy/damper fitted by then.....probably not. :)

yeah im sorry guys I was really loking forward to this tuesday. I deliberatly didnt tell anyone i had gone out and got another bike last week (i got it not the friday just gone the one before that) so i could show up on it on tuesday but and be all cool and stuff

Then last tuesday i started to feel a bit ill at work around 3 by the time id stuck dinner down my neck at 8 it was really hurting but being a hard man i though, its probably just a sprained muscle ill get down the docs in the morning. Morning of wed came, went to doc she said 2 paracetamol and plenty of rest, my brain said A&E who went right lets rip that out. The surgen said is was the worst one she had ever seen apparanetly a whopping 15cm long and about as wide as a bottle of beer. It was "gangrenous and on a scale of 1 to 10 a definate 10" Only got out today but im feeling a lot better.

So with a bit of carefull work i should be able to get allong to the next one given ive got a bike that runs now although i really need to sort out the front brake so if anyone has a bleeding kit and thinks they can do it in a pub car park then im game to give it a go. The brakes on this thing are so spongy its unreal and it twas a bargain.

Where's the "Yes - So I can try and come up with some lame stories that are even worse than Jon's" option? I should be there.

Unlikely I'll show my face - stuck in Norwich (!) on Tuesday and then on to Geneva - so someone else will have to take the **** out of Jon in my absence.

I nominate the rich kid.

Fat brstd, you nearly died if you appendix was like that. How's that for a nice thought! I should be able to come, dunno about Phil yet, but I think Stu wants to come too as he has finally fixed his Guzzi. Should take me about 10 minutes to make the trip with him in front provided I don't stack it!

Warthog 12-11-07 01:09 PM

Re: Tuesday 13th November - Shire Horse

Can you change the poll to a public one so I can see who is coming?

Warthog 12-11-07 01:10 PM

Re: Tuesday 13th November - Shire Horse

Oh yeah and Phil might smell slightly of coffee if he comes. I'll let him tell you all about it hahaha

You win nothing, you are wrong, but along the right track.

Other tw@s must have taken advantage of the private poll.

I find it amusing they don't have the cojones when its public.

As a tax dodger, i'm flexible. :)

Stu and Phil have both pulled out. So my attendance is less likely. Or I might just get angry and ride over anyway, at great speed. I am in a mood cos of everyone being a wimp.
