Re: Annual Pilgrimage

I should be able to manage along at some point in the trip but with it being mid week an overnighter might be a problem but here's hoping

Re: Annual Pilgrimage

As you no doubt realise this is Bank Holiday week and the Youth Hostels will be busy at the weekend so I would be obliged if anyboby joining for part or all and would like to be included in the booking could let me know before the end of January as I will be making our bookings at the begining of February.
Just to re-cap it will be approx ?15 per night
Thanking you in advance

Mac

N.B. We will be staying in the Stirling Youth Hostel on the Sunday night of the Bank Holiday,so even if you only intended doing the Oban leg on Monday you could join in for a social evening on the Sunday, rideout Monday and then home to your respective locations.---Just a idea

Re: Annual Pilgrimage

Yes of course. Originally we were all SV riders but some of us have changed bikes for other makes. I don't know if you have met any of the Ecosse contingent but we expect to be joined by one or two in the duration of the rideout. Keep an eye on this post till the end of the month and we will speak again

Cheers Mac

Right, you got me confused Mac! ;)

Given that your doing Stirling to Oban on Monday I assumed the social evening was Sunday? Or are you staying in Stirling for the whole weekend?

I can't do the weekday rides as my work are barstewards and give me the bare minimum holiday allowance. But are you doing a "Scottish borders to Stirling" leg on Saturday or Sunday or are you bashing straight up the M74? I would come down and meet you at Carlisle or similar and ride up with you if you were taking the good roads during daytime. If not I'll see you for the social evening.

Cheers, Colin.

Sorry about that ,corrected
Yes,we will be leaving Kendal and coming up the M6 to junct 44 then A7.Edinburgh,ringroad then motorway to Bannockburn. Thats the plan for good weather but if it is chucking down we will probably stick to the motorway all the way
I know there is a Cafe that bikers use on the A7 but I can't remember where it is,just before Hawick I think
