that was about 100mph, going in a straight line and the next second im on my ass, **** knows how. right side of bike is as pictured, the other side is as good as new.
i have sprayned my wrist/thumb and they think it might be fractured.
Trousers and gloves shreaded to **** but my jacket and lid didn't touch tarmac.
would have been dead if i hit anything, so very lucky.
50% of parts already ordered :eye:

Glad you're alright, you're very lucky to have come off so well! The bike looks like it's held up pretty well too.

hold on... you were on your SV, doing a ton... in a straight line and then you fell off?
In combats?
And you were OK?

I dont think I am really understanding any part of this.

They look like draggin jeans or something similar, with the crash protection in. I was wondering how you fall off at that speed and your jacket doesn't touch the ground though

Well at least your okay and you can fix your bike, its good that your hurt any more than you were, which is a good thing! Though I would get your wrist looked at, you want that fixed.

A guy a work came off his bike and though umm, my wrist hurts. He decided to get an x-ray after carrying shopping, riding the bike around ect, he was sure it wasn't broke though! Well until the x-ray:(

Do you have any idea what caused you come to come, like desil or bad road surface ect?

I spose now is a good time to ask if you rate draggin / hood jeans as a item of protective clothing?

Re: dead sv

I have to say I am gob-smacked your clothes and the bike look in such good condition considering a spill at 100mph and not hitting anything. Both you and the bike must have slid for an awful long time.

bugger, glad your ok ish, tell me those are some sort of draggin jeans and not just camo pants. Get your hand looked at ASAP fella.

Re: dead sv

thanks for the reply's.

i was doing between 90 and 110 when i went down, i just flopped to my side, knee took impact, and just sat up and skidded down the road on my ass watching my bike slide for fooking ages.

I have no idea why i crashed, no tank slapper, no rear whell or front wheel lock up, one second im in a straight line, the next im on my ass.
No diseal, white lines or anything.

I was wearing drag proof armoured combats, my lid and jacket didnt touch the floor, my gloves are shreaded as are the textiles, boots held up fine, look as good as new.

Went to hospital and got x-rayed and they cant tell whether its fractured or not.

damage to bike as far as i can see without being able to hold a ratchet:
1. front and rear indi's
2. number plate bracket looks broken - maybe repairable
3. exhaust scrapped and torn.
4. rear foot peg snapped off
5. rear brake cyclinder leaking
6. rear side pannel broken
7. brake lever and foot peg broken
8. front fairing broken
9. brake lever broken
10. front mudgaurd broken - ordered
11. crash bung ****ed
12. screen cracked - ordered
13. mirror - ordered
14. bar end broken
15. side stand bent (maybe repairable)
16. grips shreaded
17. tank caved in

was very lucky i didn't hit anything, although if there was anything to hit, im sure i wouldn't have been doing silly speeds.

So anyone up for a donation of parts?:help:

Is the weather the same down there as it is up here? Past couple days we've had really strong winds, nearly caught me out yesterday when i got blasted by a sudden gust (and it wasnt due to my lunchtime Subway butty), felt like someone suddenly physically shoved the bike sideways. Mebbe at over a ton that'd have you off?

Re: dead sv

Blimey:shock:

I don't think Autosol will be enough to polish that out!

Glad you've got off relatively lightly personally, although your poor bike looks a bit dented.

Glad you could walk away from it :)
What kinda exhaust system is that there? Looks pretty good :P

Re: dead sv

Bad luck, but bikes can be repaired. Just be glad you can still breathe and post. That's a good ending as crashes go.
