on visordown the sports bike riders were saying buy a universel topbox and bolt/screw it through a spare pillion seat. the boxs are about 20 quid :)

what did you take in terms of tools?

When you going. If it's summer then a good supply of t-shirts and some EDZ type summer undersuit items should sort you out, soft shoes and jeans for the evening. Don't forget the V-spong for you pitstops!

I took a tailpack with a tank bag and had enough room, I didn't even expand the tank bag to full. I went for 4 days.

depends how good your camera is? mine is ok at still pictures,it was ?25 off ebat (kodak dx3600) but i only took about 10, a few of the peeps with good cameras got some good shots on the track, depend also on how much its worth,

V-spong - the spongy thing in a plastic bag that keeps it wet which cleans your visor of all the bits you'll gather on the road and on the Ring, if you know what I mean. Great for when you are filling up or buying more Ring tickets.

the lens is worth more than the camera and the camera isnt that cheap lol, i think i will stick with my trusty 5mp camera phone im not going to have anywhere that safe to leave it all lol,

It's a well known fact that Visordown posters have no taste, class or common sense. A tailpack is far more versatile and cheaper.

Small pack of baby wipes. Half the cost, just as effective and double up as bog roll if the public loos are out of paper.

Yeah, took a tail pack with a small waist bag for those quick to reach essentials like passport, money and camera.

Don't they smear? V-spong you can re-use, plus you don't have that baby smell on the ride :p

Never noticed smearing - Pampers ones work best, and I quite like the baby smell, it reminds me of when my kids couldn't and didn't answer back.

Took a tailpack (un extended) and medium tankbag last time, including jeans, shoes, camcorder, waterproofs, possibly a fleece, t-shirts, boxers, socks, spare thermal, euros for beer at the biker's loft, maps etc..

I took a tank bag and a mini oxford tail pack last year, although I might just take panniers this year. I don't like doing tank bags over long distances though you should be able to get away with a decent size tailpack and maybe a rucksack.

i took a tank bag but fixed it to the back seat + a small ruc but to fair i stayed down in kent for a week after so could possibly get away with just a ruc sack. there is always some one not out on track to watch over things so it's fine to bring the camera but it's up to you.
