I am a Dad!!!

Joshua George Marcus Sipson was born at 8:24pm on Fri 15th Feb, 6lbs 11oz

3.5 weeks early and a 40 hour labour......

Mother and baby doing well and should be home on Monday as the Diabetes seems to have not affected baby and has gone from mother.

40 HOUR LABOUR!!!!!!!!

Blimey, and I thought my 6 and a half hours was a long time:D

oh actually... that was how long I was awake.....

(too tired still to work it out....)

waters broke at 8am on Thurs morning. Contractions started at 3pm Thurs. I had taken the bike in to the hospital to see Kate as they were keeping her in to monitor once the waters broke.

so...... 30 hour labour


Left the hosiptal at 1am in -3 temperatures and the bike wouldnt start. Got a jump start from a friendly nurse who was having a sneaky fag around the back of the bike sheds (no kidding)

Froze on the way home but at least it kept me awake

well done to you all. He looks much bigger than nearly 7 lb. He is lovely. I had diabetes with both pregnancies and have had no sign of it since. and my son is now 11. He was also born 3.5 weeks early

We all thought he looked smaller than nearly 7 lbs. He certainly doesnt seem as wrinkly as the other babies in the ward.

Its so amazing holding him. Your mind runs through som many things.

1) I cant believe this beautiful thing is mine.
2) I cant believe that was in Kates Belly.
3) I cant believe that fitted out of where it came out of.....
4) Wow..... Kate and I are responsible for something so defenceless

Always have a muslin square over your shoulder to avoid 'dad shoulder'*








*Permanent milky pukey shoulder, normally occurs 5 sec before you have to leave the house.

Know the feeling, wifes waters broke on the Thursday and they induced her Sunday morning at 9 O'clock daughter was born at 6 in the evening.

Boy was i called some rude names inbetween

My wife took them while I was giving him his first bath. Kate doesnt normally take good pictures but they turned out great. It was on an aging canon ixus 5
