Hi all,
I have a 2001 sv650 chassis, for sale, it is basically the bike without the engine and fairing. its got braided hoses on the brakes, part worn supercorsa`s on wheels, lsl clip ons, lots of bits and pieces. i will try get some pictures at some point. The bikes never been dropped or crashed to my knowledge, the only reason i am selling the bike in bits is that the engine needs rebuilding, and i`m doing that at a later date, but need cash now. if you have any questions, just ask, i`m open to sensible offers.

ah sorry mate, i did`nt word it very well, i`m selling the chassis with all the bits and pieces on it, i`m not breaking the bike, its too much hassle

has got any suspension mods ect?? and when u say engines sold have you kept loom ect??

it has a zx6r rear shock, all wiring is with the bike, i still have the engine, just not getting the time to fix it yet

i`m open to sensible offers, bearing in mind i got ?450 for just a spare set of wheels with tyres on.

Does the frame have a V5?

sorry, i don`t have the v5, i brought the bike as a track bike, it does have the frame number etc on it.
Pics will probably be done this weekend when i get 5 mins

Know any history on the frame? (writeoff?) also has any upgrades been done to the forks?

Assuming you haven't taken them off, what pitch chain and rear sprocket does it have on it? 520 or 525?

To my knowledge, the frame hasn`t been involved in an accident, there are no mark on it. the forks have maxton stronger springs in them. the sproket is 520, i do have a spare chain somewhere, the other snapped, hence the engine rebuild, the chain snapped the gear selecting rod which pierced a wiring loom, which caused the bike not to start. easy fix, but time consuming, which i don`t have a lot of, hence the sale

the engine is out of the bike awaiting repair, it is for sale if anyone fancies it

You need to start dreaming up approximate prices dude ...

I can tell from your wheels comment earlier, you are probably after more than I (that is me - my perceived value on things is not going to be the same as everyone's) am willing to pay ;)

But dream it up and let us all know ballpark what you are expecting/after ...

I'd need to see pictures, but assuming all it needs is a fairing and the engine fixed - everything else is there. Bearing in mind it has no V5 (but has numbers so I could check to see if it is nicked before buying) ?300 inc bu66ered engine is the sort of money I'd offer.

aye you got some price for your spare wheels!! you pick the 1999-02 model wheels up on ebay for about £80-£130 a set.

think il maby start buying them if ther selling else where for £450 lol.:cool:


what sort of price are you thinking of for the bike/rolling chassis?;)

You would be lucky to get them for £80 a set (especially with discs). But £200-300 finds you a good set with good rubber ... to pay £450 you'd have to be a fool or really really desperate!! ;)

I suppose if they had nearly new wavy discs on that might push the wheels up a bit mind … did they have wavys?

ther has been 2 sets on ebay in the last week or 2 1 set 80 quid and the other set a £100 quid not sure if they were with discs think the set at a £100 had discs.

aye ther a good deal alright at that price have a look they may still be on i didnt really pay much notice 2 the end time etc...cause ther of no use 2 me.;)

Mate the wheels won't fit your bike as its injected hence K3 or above, also you the gixxer front end they would fit mine but I have wow so don't need emm, though I need disks at some point.....hmmm....

i no they dont fit thats why i said i didnt pay much interest 2 them as they are of no use 2 me!!:D:D:D
