Thanks Paul. And to all of you keeping your eyes out for it.

It was parked in the bike bay on Wilton Place SW1. Right outside a church for god's sake. Have these thieves no remorse?

Chain through rear wheel to another bike's chain. Disc lock on front and on rear. Steering lock on. Datatool Cat 1 alarm. Datatagged to next christmas.

I may be able to get some CCTV of it - spoken to Security about this morning already.

But, yes, I am now on the SV. I admit I had forgotten how much fun it is to ride.

Jaysus - they really wanted it then! At least you know you had done your best to stop it being nicked...

Re: Stolen

Really Sucks....

It has to be about time something got done about the number of bikes being professionally lifted London at the moment even if it is "all covered by insurance" :smt011

It really is not fair that we just don't seem to be allowed to have a nice bike in London.

Re: Stolen

AHA! They have found my bike!

In West Acton on the night it was stolen apparently. The police somehow only saw fit to tell my this today though.

Found with disc locks still on and all. I dunno why they did that. Perhaps they only saw that it was seriously Datatagged etc when they had already stolen it. Knobs.

She is apparently a bit beaten up on the tank, and bizarrely, the upper cowling is cracked too.. Damage to the right front disc and caliper, and same on rear.

They have appointed Wheelpower in Raynes park to repair the bike which is great because it is close to home and having had a chat with them, they replace damaged parts, not repair.

So hopefully I will have my Kwak back as shiny as she was when i first got her!

Just a bugger about the ?300 excess and not having her for another two weeks or so.

Re: Stolen

Glad to hear some good news for change. So are you doing to beef up the security so that it doesn't happen again?

SoulKiss 10-03-08 03:30 PM

Re: Stolen

Good news.

To improve security can I suggest that you just chain Bluethunderpants to your bike?

Even comes with his own lid for when you are transporting the bike and hom from place to place :)

Oh and now go back to the first post and remove the Reg number from it

My money is on that they left it in situ and didnt bother recovering it to see if the thieves came back to get it. Hence not telling the owner it had been recovered because it probably hadnt.

Glad you got it back though, your possesions feel horrible for a while after things like this happen.

I couldnt imagine my house being broken into the car was bad enough.

I should point out that I don't look very scary at all, just short so I can't see that helping:rolleyes: there are better people than me to guard something, who do look scary.....

Also where has the alternate spelling of my name come from :smt102:smt065:smt075:smt032? Its Bluethunder..... well I'm around later this week on Friday. Been feeling a bit cr4p again, it will be nice to catch up with everyone and see freindly people.
