Hello (newbie)
Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd say hi Passed my test recently and I'd quite like to tag along on a few rideouts (if you don't mind, is it too soon?) just to get a feel of what group riding is like and to meet a few other bikers :) Is there a regular GM rideout? Where do they normally happen? Like I said, are these something I could come along to or do you think it's too early after passing my test? Josh |
Re: Hello (newbie)
Hiya
Welcome to the GM - we have a regular pub meet every monday night at the Britannia in Guildford. I'm sure the others will be along shortly to talk about group riding :D |

Re: Hello (newbie)
Hey Josh, welcome to the forum and the GM!
Congrats on your test, no problem on the rideouts, the most important thing with rideouts is to go at your own pace, never try to keep up or go above your own limits. Plus were a fairly sedate lot...mostly :) but for sure it be great to see you on a rideout which reminds me, we must sort one out soon. Hope to see you out on a rideout soon and keep your eyes posted on this section for rideouts and meets. Oh and great choice on bike ;) |
Re: Hello (newbie)
Hi :D
I doubt there's going to be a rideout before the AR. If you can make it to that you'd be made more than welcome :D The AR is meant to be particularly INclusive & at a pace that everyone can cope with. Group riding TBH should just be like riding in traffic - just a lot more fun. |

I am seriously considering going to the AR. Is everyone going separately or is GM riding together? (I did have a look at http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=110071 but didn't find a definite answer) Quote:

;) Actually, there are some tents/spaces on offer from e.d. :D I'm going with a handful of Soho peeps meeting at Fleet services at 7:30 pm so you'd be welcome to join that. Depends what time you are free on Friday as to which option is best for you - but definitely come if you can make it :D Edit: beaten to it by Shelly - Excellent :D I always said she had a wit as sharp as a blade |
Re: Hello (newbie)
Yeah tent on a bike pretty easy to fit it all on, in 06 i had a tail pack with sleeping bag, blow up mattress and some clothes in and then had the tent strapped down over the top.
I'm going to be leaving at about 630 ish but taking a detour to pick up others in the car |
Re: Hello (newbie)
Yer not sure on times yet, should be able to get convoy going

I didn't mean a set up tent, if it came across like that, just wasn't sure how small they went when NOT set up  |
