Over took me today when i was driven from Blackburn to Preston.



The one and only Mr Carl Fogarty.

He was driving a porsche with the plate foggy on it. Asked the wife if it was him and she looked at me blank, as to say who the f##k is carl fogarty!!!

Caught up with him at some traffic lights and had a look across and it was the man himself.

What is he up to these days? after the disaster with the WSBK thingy, he has disappeared form the map (thank god the guy is an tw4t!!! :D)

I'm glad someone said foggy is a twit before I did, I was gonna ask..

..did you congratulate him on all his victories, then punch him right on the nose for being a right prat of a person?

Met the guy once, and yeah he came across a little rude.


But............I think I would get that way if everyone was hassleing me for autographs n stuff. I'm bad enough at work if someone wants something doing.

i bought his dvd from hmv randomly "Carl foggarty: Crash and recover"

the info on the back said "action replays of the most dramatic incidents with reviews from Foggy and James Whitham... also includes advice on how to avoid such incidents on the road". I thought 'go on then, it's something to watch'. What a ****ing waste of money. The biggest pile of ****e iv ever bought and then watched before turning off within about 3 minutes. Basically, it's crap quality video for a kick off, and there's foggy & whitham sat on a sofa, sat chatting quietly about ****, then it cuts to a clip of a guy having a low side. Whitham says "what happened there then?" foggy quietly sits there and says "well he just gave it too much gas mid corner, just take it steady". And that was it. "he's locked his front wheel there. Oh yeah look he's high sided himself. Oh look he's run wide and nearly lost it. Post boxes are red. The Sky is blue...." The whole dvd was just them two sat stating the obvious...

I think Foggy was a Brit version of Casey Stoner.Arrogant spoiled brat personality off the bike,but as a bike racer in WSB he was untouchable.A lot of talent in what he did,but not very media happy.
I respect him for what he did,but I wouldnt want to meet him.

I don't think Foggy and Stoner are alike personality wise ... Stoner seems a really approachable, self-to-himself, down to earth chap* .. Foggy just seems/seemed a self righteous c-nut!! :rolleyes:

*again obviously only going from what I see on tv.

Yeah not exactly like Stoner.What I mean is they are both great bike racers,but not lovely celebrities like Rossi,who is also a great bike racer.You cant always have it all when it comes to sporting heros.
You should never meet your heros,as you are likely to be disappointed!

Karl Marx - obviously the biggest **** of all time for being a revolutionary etc!
Carl Lewis - obviously a **** for shaping modern athletics and being a successful athlete!

But come to think of it I cant think of any ****s who would call themselves Neil or Fergie!

At least newts924 was happy to see him!

I don't know, you don't need to be a clown to be a personality ... take the Stalker ... loved by all and he is a pretty down-to-earth bashfull sorta chap ;)

Jamie Witham is really really cool too ... again, never ever have I seen him 'large' himself up ... just the opposite in fact ... great natural sense of humour ..
