Horn that makes people take notice
Hi ya
I am looking to replace the horn on my K3 as its decided to stop working. I am looking for something that makes people sit up and take notice as I use it to commute daily in heavy slow traffic. Suggestions other than a train horn !!!!!!! cheers |

excellent thanks for the advice. I have actually looked at one of those as a possibility. Are they easy to fit if your not an electrician ?

makes an awesome noise, none of the "meep meep" you get from the stock horn, more of a "flaaaaaaar" at a greatly increased volume:D |
Re: Horn that makes people take notice
Do a search for Sebel Nautilus, there's some step by step instructions and a wiring schema on here.

Re: Horn that makes people take notice
think YC has some sort of stebul nautilus airhorn whaddyacallit on his.
Obviously he has to have a loud horn to match his noisy bike...the air shakes when he presses the horn button, and everyone puts their hands over their ears with the pain. Thats one of the reasons his title is 'noisy git'...lol |
Re: Horn that makes people take notice
I've heard that wandering about naked with the horn gets you noticed.

Two Stebel Magnums, and twin FIAMM marine airhons on my bike. I shall be heard! :D As for fitting, if you get the nautilus or the magnum, mount it to the bike somewhere, remove the connector from the stock wiring, chop that in half, plug directly on to the new horn. If you need to extend the cable, use blue spade connectors (2 male 2 female) and wire that's rated to 15A 12v (minimum). Really you should put a fuse inline too, but that's optional if you only put one horn on the bike. |

Re: Horn that makes people take notice
Hi.
Can anyone let me know how easy the Magnum horn is to fit. Is it just a case of taking off theold one and putting the new one in its place. Interested in getting one but am an A**e when it comes to re-wiring. Thanks |
