Pretty cool SV vid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLryX...eature=related

I dont remember my SV sounding like that... Guess im used to the 60*V now.

Anyway enjoy it just shows that a SV650 isnt slow and can be easy to get the knee down on. Though anyone should be able to if they have a road like that. :smt076

Aye I agree with that... :( I suppose I should link a better one lol

Just that was the only SV one. Sigh.

Yeah, I was thinking how the guy with the camera was about 5 times as fast as the guy on the thou.

Pretty poor riding if you ask me, was wobbly and jerky all over the place, not smooth at all.

Well----To come to the riders defence----That was an extremely technical and long bit of road.Unless your name happens to be Shakey or something similar I reckon it would take lots and lots of practice to get good there.

Is there anywhere in the UK like that I wonder?

I'd love to go there (assuming it wasn't full of traffic!!!!)

Re: Pretty cool SV vid...

There are a few other video's of people going over there and most of them you can tell dont know the road that well as they are all a little like that guy. The (initial) camera bike is the rider that I was refering to, he does seem to have a clue. :)

You can shift a bit and be smooth without knowing the road...

+1, i thought i was doing quite well on the AR this year, I didnt know those roads

Mind you, I had 20 other people on front of me to gauge the right line around the cornere based on what they were doing

Personally I prefer those type of roads, slow tight corners where you are constantly cornering. I prefer that to cornering at high speed.

There is a road very near me that is probably even twistier than that one. The road up to Glen Clova. You go up one route and back down another. Only downside is that it is a bit narrow and lots of suicidal bunnies and sheep.
Another brilliant road like that is the A702 near Dumfries. Very twisty bits and awesome views

Pretty much any of the roads on the glencoe massacre rideout... that loop round the lake was very entertaining.

Lol - you referring to this?

Re: Pretty cool SV vid.

Nope second comment is about someone else entirely.

That NW vid was about following other people lines, in that vid there were about 6 or 7 bikes all taking very odd lines around corners and being very wierd for no apparent reason, basically looking like a set of lemmings. (Seggons did the Ecosse trip and it was a completely different story there.)

The second comment means that "he needs to learn to ride his SV1000" reminds me of someone.

Indeed. A little mad is my opinion. You really should take less risks mate! When you get unrestricted I think you'll settle down, I did... Something to do with you know its easy to overtake so your more willing to wait I guess. :D

yorkie_chris 28-10-08 12:04 AM

Re: Pretty cool SV vid.

You'd be suprised, I'm much less aggressive with the overtaking when alone, I get a little frustrated on rideouts when people are hanging around for no particular reason.

Hey man I wasnt hanging around... I was waiting for a spot where I could see more than 10 meters, the straight after the corner you over took me on I over took... then got held up by a car in the next set of corners cos I didnt have time to get past with you

Not to worry though. :)

That wasn't a dig at you. I can't remember exactly, but it looked like you were being polite to bike(s) in front. Politeness isn't a strong point of mine lol.

Ah dont worry, I didnt take it as a dig at me... I was just explaining is all. :)

Your right though, I didnt want to cut Dizzy up (who was in front) as she was/is a little nervous since the incident she had. Im too nice. :p
