Re: Has everyone had a good day?

No. I've spent most of it driving and I feel tired and irritable, having achieved nothing. I need a drink but that's 70 miles away:(

I've been asleep most of the day and a bit dozy now. Thanks for asking!

Off to work at 8.00pm, last one, hopefully finish on time for once!

yes, I have been out to play again today. I have also been to see the week old kittens of my brothers cat. Saw them last week a day old, never seen kits so tiny....oooo sooo cute :-) My they grow quick. Only thing to spoil my day is one of them has a deformed foot, and I hope they can do something about it.:-(

It'll be fine, 4 legged creatures are very good at adapting with damaged limbs. Even if it has to hobble for the rest of its life it won't care, as it hasn't known any different.

Re: Has everyone had a good day?

yes, yesterday found the cause of a problem that had the entire team flummoxed, the customer had opened official complaint due to us being useless at solving this problem.

So today I sent the customer a circumvention which has resolved his problem. :D

Now all I have to do is work out how to code a permanent fix for the 6 releases we cover and all future releases, piece of cake!

Re: Has everyone had a good day?

Good in the sense i`ve been off work but spent most of the day studying and writing and generally trying to remember some of what i`m reading.

On a happy note I went shopping earlier and whilst choosing toilet paper I automatically reached for the Andrex as it was reduced to £2.03..... then I saw Andrex quilted at £2.05 and thought how much nicer it would be to have quilted paper so put it in my trolley. THEN I noticed that the quilted Andrex only contained 160 sheets per roll whereas the plain Andrex contained 240!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! obv put the quilted back thus saving money which is always nice :flower:

Re: Has everyone had a good day?

Well yesterday I pi$$ed off the whole lab by stinking it all out (had an accident resulting in trimethyl phosphite fumes getting out. I tried so hard to keep it all contained :(), and today I cleaned out my fume cuboard and all the stinky glassware and everything. I may have even made what I set out to make....providing it didnt all end up in the dewar of ethylene glycol being used to provide a medium to chill my reaction flask in

there was some green stuff in it. last time i did this chemical reaction (sharpless asymmetric epoxidation, for those who like to know) I got a nice green oil...

we find out tomorrow

On the ratmobile?

My day was alright, not bad, not great.

Although my journey home really f###ed me off!!
Driving home (bike's got problems :() some D1ck in a van cuts me up on a roundabout and not too long after decides to run a red light over a blind hump-back bridge. T##T!!! I'd hate to think what would've happened if there was a bike coming over

I'm alive, 10/10.
I'm (reasonably'ish) fit and healthy, 10/10.
I have water, 10/10.
I have food, 10/10.
I'm warm, 10/10.
I have shelter, 10/10.
I am not under the threat of attack by a savage animal, 10/10.
The ones I love are in a very similar position, 9.5/10 (0.5 dropped because SWMBO is apparently a bit cold... the heating went off THREE MINUTES AGO, FFS!!!!)
Work was a bit **** (but I still have a great job), 9.5/10.
"I'm a Celebrity..." is on, -1,000,000,000,000,000/10.

Anyone good at fractions?

Re: Has everyone had a good day?

I have had a lovely day, I woke up to Carol kissing me and a cup of hot chocolate on the bedside table. :smt003

Then I lay in bed for a while sowing up the straps of the PVC Corset I made for myself (I made them an inch too long) and watching Gross Point Blank on the DVD. I tidied up the mess in our bedroom made by my cat leaping about and climbing where he should not and found the ornament I thought he had broken and it was in once piece.

Then I cycled to work and went really fast through the traffic and was not held up by anyone. I worked for the whole three hours with just me and the boss and then finished for the day and was picked up by my lovely Carol (who greeted me with more snogging) and we came home together.

I am going to get her to help me with my corset, just to make sure it fits now and that will no doubt lead to more snogging. Today has been lovely.

Yesterday was not so lovely. My Dad wrote to me to inform me that he had forgotten my birthday. My Brother sent a message via our Mother that he hates me and my sister. Happy days... :smt067
