135mph wheelie
I didn't mean to do it, but the road kinda dipped away as I was accelerating hard up the local bypass.
Fun fun fun I was riding my mate's R1, not my SV650 or CBR600 |

What do I win? |
Re: 135mph wheelie
so lozzo, if you now get 6 points for doing 90 in a 70 you'll get 12 points in total:plod:, ah on one wheel you say, so divide that by two = 6 points.:thumright:

Re: 135mph wheelie
That law hasn't been passed yet. I am going to make the most of it while I can.
This country gets more like a safety-nazi dictatorship every day |

Should any officers of the law be reading this thread, the original post was purely a figment of my imagination and should only be treated as such. The rest of you can treat it any which way you like :-). |

Re: 135mph wheelie
So you're saying you did a balance point wheelie then?
|
Re: 135mph wheelie
It got to the point where I felt comfortable and didn't need to make drastic adjustments to the revs - it stayed pretty much where I wanted it to be on a steady throttle. If that's the balance point, then so be it. It did feel like it could have gone higher, but I wasn't about to try. I don't like chopping the throttle to keep the front wheel up as it never feels like I'm anywhere near in control.
Wheelies really aren't my thing, but every now and then I manage to pull a spectacular one out of the bag almost by accident. The last time was nearly 2 1/2 years ago on my Gixer Thou at about 110, when I overtook my ex on her Bandit 650 and kept it going for about 3/4 mile. One of my mates instructs at Paul Gower's Wheelie School and he's given me and others some good tips. He told us about not chopping the throttle open and closed to keep it up. |
Re: 135mph wheelie
I've been meaning to get some of the girls from the TVSF up to Gower's school - might have to cancel plans for the TT so I have enough leave to do it though.

Nice wheelie I guess. :smt003
Why do we need more speeding penalties. Sigh. |
