The best £10 you ever spent?

well...today I am bored so will jump on the pointless threads bandwagaon as ive hit my target for the week and am just waiting untill lunchtime where i can sink some of the west country's finest cider...:)

this morning i went into waterstones and bought a book called " The sleepeasy solution - The exhausted parents guide to getting your baby to sleep through the night" - "results in less than one week" for £9.99

I am seriously hoping this will be the best £10 I have ever spent and will change our life lol!!! as we are fecking shattered!!

any interesting / life changing things people have bought for around a tenner???

(thia brides / a*** beads etc excluded:mrgreen:)

You can buy a lot of Chloraform for £10 ;) or you could have spent £3.99 in the 1st place and stopped it happening ;)

Some music CDs I guess. If you love and album and have played it for 10 years in a row, it's gotta be worth a tenner!

The corny answer for me would be the fish and chip supper I bought the Mrs the first day we met - it convinced her I was a nice guy worth getting to know.

Simple answer is to train your child that you will not come running as soon as they wake up. Otherwise they will realise that all they have to do to get daddy/mummy attention is to start crying - and lo and behold a feed arrives. Or a cuddle. Stick to routine, make mealtime at fixed times and don't waver.

LOL LOL thats the same trick we use on puppies when we get them home and they howl in their crates all night long!!! LOL a week of ignoring them and explaining to the neighbours and thanking them for being patient and you get some nice long nights sleeps!! :D

The best ten quid I've spent was on ebay last year. Brand new mega blocks pirate ship still in cellophane and box, for Dylans birthday. Only thing is it led to me buying another two at xmas in the same condition, and countless amounts of islands and lego men to go with them.

It might shut him up for hours, but it won't be long before theres enough pirates in my vacuum cleaner to sink a battle ship :-)

Just thought of another great £10 I spent. The petrol I used going round the Nurburgring. That was an absolutely phenomenal way to burn money and certainly the best £10 adrenaline rush.

I bought the scabbiest most abused Yamaha YDS7 250 off an idiot in the village I grew up in for a tenner. It was barely taxed and MOTd and I rode it away. On the way home someone pulled out on me and I hit them. Within 2 weeks of me badgering them daily his insurance company paid me 350 quid for the bike, and 800 quid for the bruising and trauma I suffered.

Best tenner I ever spent.

My first buff!

Scarves for those of you with a dirty mind! I have neck problems, and they keep it warm and it's been much better. Got lots of them now to match work outfits so that they look reasonably smart.
