Once the weather is more clement we meet at the Hawk[Battlesbridge] on a Friday night plus a few visits to Gt Bentley during the summer. A couple of times a month during the summer we will have a Sunday morning poodle out,not very far ,normally about 50-60 miles

Yes a few of us diehards manage to drag our sorry @rses out of bed on a Sunday morning - if it's not raining! ;) usually meet at Boreham Services as it's pretty central. Never seen a poodle though - few labradors and jack russels maybe!

"we will have a Sunday morning poodle"
Unless you are planning some form of Korean brunch i think you have been sniffing too many exhaust fumes again DT.

I expect better of you Mac, correct use of the English language is essential in the written form.

poo⋅dle

–noun one of a breed of very active dogs, probably originating in Germany but regarded as the national dog of France, having long, thick, frizzy or curly hair usually trimmed in standard patterns, occurring in three varieties (standard, miniature, and toy) differing only in size, and originally used as a water retriever.

What I presume you meant

too⋅tle
verb, -tled, -tling, noun
–verb (used without object) 1.to toot gently or repeatedly on a flute or the like.2.to move or proceed in a leisurely way.

Arty Lady please connect your boot to his rear the next time you are unfortunate enough to come across him.;) Interfering with gentlemen, eating dogs, your behaviour is starting to worry me DT.

As well as all of the above, there's a meet of bikers in Colchester every Sunday, at the Maypole pub, on Berechurch Hall Road. No particular make of bike, just people who ride them.

Re: Essex Meets

Is there any interest in starting up the Friday night meets at the moment, okay I know it is cage weather[well for me it is] but it would be nice to get the social ball rolling again.
If this is so would we resume at the HAWK or would a change of venue be in order for
the new year?
Should anybody wish to suggest a change please consider that some members like to have a sit down meal, nice outside garden and easy access with decent parking

Probably - any ideas? we went through this before but nothing ever came of it - there must be somewhere in Chelmsford - I would certainly prefer it (cos I'm lazy and dont like going too far in the evening! ;) )
