The state they get in on flat ice defies belief,they should try pulling 40ton up Mt Blanc and down again. A bit of Bulgaria,Romania and Turkey in the middle of winter would soon sort the men from the boys

1st series the truckers talked about how none of the "modern" rigs can handle the cold and end up just looking fancy.

The older trucks were more reliable, more robust, easier to work on and cheaper to fix too so they all keep the old trucks.

just look at Hugh Rowlands truck. one of the oldest and retro looking, but he always manages the most loads without breakdowns ;)

I love that programme, think its great :mrgreen: (except the trucker drew annoys me). I think its great how the battered trucks keep on going.

I was a bit "ooooo" being on a frozen lake which borders finland & sweden. Gawd knows how id feel being on a frozen ocean. They are brave men.
