Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
Desperately unfashionable because its not the classic 916 shape and has been superceeded by the 848,so dont pay serious money for one.Great bike to ride though so you should be able to get a bargain.

Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
Be careful. I have been looking (alot) into a Ducati 749 and I shall be getting one. The black ones (Dark they are called) aren't actually just a colour they are different to standard bikes (i.e. suspension is slightly more budget) unless you go for a later bike when they started doing gloss black which is okay. If it is satin black they are cheaper as they are less desirable.
I am currently looking for a 749S in Yellow cos you know yellow is the best :) |
Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
Too cool for you Quiff. Stick to your Gixer :)

Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice

Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
Don't get a dark, they arent as well spec'd as the Base Model 749, you want a 749S really.
But prices have dropped since the 848 came out. If you want one get one  The ducati site that Lissa has linked you to is the best one that Liz found |
Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
love the 848...but no pennies - - -
saw one at Oulton park with the ugly one they call Mr Uki....they is nice - didnt know that the black ones were more budget- interesting |

Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
It is nice, and those termi's wont have been cheap either so that'll save you money not having to shell out for them afterwards should you want them.
|
Re: thinking of a Ducati - advice
Why do all duc owners seem to go for termis? Do normal aftermarket can people not supply them for ducs?
Personally ducatis don't do anything for me, neither do ferraris though lol. should be a lot of bargains around with so many skint people! |

Also for the 749 / 999 I havent seen an aftermarket system that looks right on the bike like the Termi's do, they all look sh*te. I realise aesthics arent your biggest strong point though ;) :D |

Next project. An 1127cc nitrous'd oldskool 7-11, with carbon fibre tank, headlight fairing and bodywork. Hidden under a scabby cammo net.
I like my performance to be well hidden. |
