Changing Avatar.

Some people seem to change their avatar every five minutes, others don't seem to change them at all. I've had this avatar ever since I joined Org, and although I feel maybe I should change it as we no longer have Bikedolf, I also feel it defines who I am. Am I being overly sentimental, or should I keep my avatar as it is?

How about you? Are you attached to one avatar, or do you change it as often as you change your socks?

I've had mine for years. Everyone recognises it. But I didn't post it, it came from Admin:D

I'm not changing it:p

Ditto. I've had a couple of different ones but the photo Sam took is my favourite so it's staying, at least until (if) i get a new bike.

Mine was taken specifically by Shellywoozle to see just how long it took people to twig that it was me on my bike in her back garden with her dog, parked in exactly the same spot as her avatar was taken with her on her own bike.

It took someone about 3 weeks to notice, and this was after loads of posts by me followed by Shelly with both almost identical avatars in full view.

+1

Changed a few times for the avatar game.
There's only so much one can say about the same pic.

I probably have 50 or more on file that I've used on different sites over the years.
Think I've used about 10 or 12 on here.

Keep your's Lissa....it's you.

nothing compared to your disappointment when you met him tho eh?

had mine for a few years now, used to be a labrador with sunglasses, then it was a character from the fast show...

whenever i think about changing it i'm always hampered by the restrictions i.e. too big. i think i'm forever associated with a cow in a sidecar. which is cool, its unique fo sho

Re: Changing Avatar.

I prefer everyone to keep the same one--
like Lissa and Mike and Ed etc,, its kind of comforting-

similar to when you see a car the same colour and make as your partners on the motorway when they aint with you, it instantly makes you think of them , it makes you go awww and think of them fondly for a few seconds.. make sense??

however I changed mine as I thought I shouldnt spare you all my body after the liposuction !:D

Same here.

Although I dont have blue eyes, I like to think this avatar is part of me on this site and makes me easily recogniseable. When posting, I instantly recognise someone through the avatar before the name. i.e. Baph was (and still is) "the avatar with the freaky looking baby face"

I have no plans to change my avatar, it shall stay :D

I change mine pretty often.......an avatar doesnt define who I am, but i do get the association thing, when i first joined i would remember someones helpfulness etc by their avatar rather than the name, trouble is im not very helpful so it doesnt matter so much :-)

Mine has remained the same since the IB Bournemouth meet in 2005.

However, it is highly likely that it will be changed in the not too distant future :smt022
