some photos of my sv650s
well i thought id put up some photos of the SV nothing special but gave her a bath today and it was an excuse to take some photos, need to get a smaller plate as im sure this ones acting like a parachute!! and indicators as they are huge , also had to facbricate a bracket to fit the cowl as im missing the insert parts, but apart from that im happy with the bike

Re: some photos of my sv650s
ive got a hyosung gv650, and a hyosung gt650r, the 650r is a little bit broken due to a crash when a bloke was on my side of the road and i laid it on its side, 3 more panels needed but until i have that back on the road i bought the sv

Re: some photos of my sv650s
blurry jubbly bike, i agree on the lower-fairing jealousy.......i tried and tried and tried again to find some in sonic silver!
im sure your enjoying it, ride safe geezer! Amp |
Re: some photos of my sv650s
with a little research i could've worked that out. just getting lazy paul.

Re: some photos of my sv650s
no problem mate, thanks for the compliments, just one quick question, whilst riding the bike today i noticed that the bike wanted to sit itself up halfway through a left hand bend, i wasnt excessively lent over but the bike refused to hold the line through the bend and sat itself up , making me veer onto the other side of the road which was a little worrying, has anyone got some settings for the suspension that works very well, im 13 stone if that helps

Re: some photos of my sv650s
not sure paul. first thing that sprung to mind was did you use front brake to scrub off a little speed?
|
Re: some photos of my sv650s
no had the back brake trailing a bit to keep the front in check but apart from that nothing its was mid corner then up she sat!!! i think ill have a try at changing the rear shock settings and the preload for the front

Re: some photos of my sv650s
Very nice mate its also very similar to mine lol
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...z/DSC00265.jpg I would also be very interested if you work anything out with the handling im still learning at the minute but i find mine to be very twitchy at times. My rear tyre is actually turning flat as i am carp on the twisties lol :p cheers mick |
Re: some photos of my sv650s
thanks for the comments lads mgaffz, ill let you know mate im going to try a couple of settings and see how they work, which crash bungs are those as the ones that came with the bike hardly stick out past the pre cut hole, so not really effective

Re: some photos of my sv650s
btw forgot to mention if you fancy a ride out sometime give me a shout im only just down the road
|
Re: some photos of my sv650s
Aye hoping to get out for some practice once the sun returns lol, i think the crash bungs are R&G but i would have to double check they were already on when i bought it. I'll have a look for you tomorrow when i finish work.
cheers mick |
Re: some photos of my sv650s
very nice... for a pointy  love the can bet that sounds sweeeeet
|
Re: some photos of my sv650s
nice silver pointy, love the silver bike and silver frame thats why ive owned 2 lol, the rear spring is pretty budget, my complaint on the 650 was bucking and kicking on fast sweeping bends.

Re: some photos of my sv650s
nice bike shame its not curvy :D;)

Re: some photos of my sv650s
ok so after my worriying sit up on a bend i have fiddled with the suspension and have finally found some settings that work well ,im 13 stone and i have 3 lines showing on fork preload, level 4 on the rear suspension, and set the tyres to 33 front and 36 rear and the handling is much better glides round the bends now and holds a line , still the dunlops which are fitted dont give me much confidence but im reluctant to replace as they are fairly new only 1 thousand miles since they were fitted, so i reckon once i get some better tyres it will be proper sorted http://korider.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif the settings which were on are, front shock had no lines showing all the way down, rear shock on 6th setting rock hard, so i guess the set up had an effect on the handling for the worse now its much better

Re: some photos of my sv650s
I think it looks great. The logo on the lowers suits it well without being over the top. Pretty good mileage for the year too.
I aggree about the indicators, they are disgusting :D |
