Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
Mine is the same as yours, belly pan with a hugger and seat cowl and it looks cool but I prefer lowers, I had them once and will have them again LOL

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
<<<< See here. I think this looks good, but I would wouldn't I?
Definitely a Belly Pan for Pointies and Lowers for Curvies. The belly pan just gives a pointy a bit of a streetfighter look, IMO. But I do like the lowers as well. Can't make my mind up really can I? I keep toying with the idea of a hugger but I'm not sure that a colour-coded hugger will look right in yellow, possibly a bit OTT. |
Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
I like the look of a bellypan and I am thinking of getting an ermax bellypan for my pointy. It comes in two halves which I think is a little unusual. It will need to be colour coded YHL Candy Sonoma Red which is also an unusual colour for suzuki. Any opinions and/or advice on the look and quality of the ermax bellypan would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
Prefer a belly pan on a curvy S, which is what i've got... surprisingly.

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
IMO all the normal lowers look pretty poor and like they shouldnt be there on the SV. Especially the curvies, they just look poo, like they were an after thought. You can get some really nice ones but they cost a lot and they usually involve replacing all the front fairing as well.
IMO the belly pan just looks great and there are planty of great ones to choose from :) |
Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
i got the ermax ones full lot, after copying chewys bike, i used the hugger, seat cowl as well as under tray, with second thought i wouldnt get the same undertray you cant really see the indicators behind the numberplate that well.. but the belly pan looks and fits well, i bought it colour coded, cant remember who from but looks lovely.. not to bulky... would totally recomendthe ermax b/pan

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
Thanks richie95. Just what I was hoping to hear. I can order a colour coded one from Motoevolution.co.uk for £145 which is £100 cheaper than the suzuki oem. My only reservation is the YHL colour coding which they name Burgundy while Suzuki call it Candy Sonoma Red. I hope that as long as the coding is YHL then it will be the same? Anyway, thats a calculated risk I'll need to take. How was the colour match on yours like? Was the fitting straightforward?

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
the ermax is a dream, spot on cpolour, i used the code YC2- candy blue spot on, i will look through my old emaisl to see where i bought mine..

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
I prefer lowers on the pointy, I was worried mine wasn't going to have them as they'd been removed from the demo and showroom SV's

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
I quite like either, but preference would have to go to full lowers. They are utterly overpriced though, so i'll never be able to get them :(

Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
On the pointies, definatly bellypan and colour matched hugger/single seat.

I'm considering whether to put a belly pan on mine (2002 curvy). I cant help but feel a half faired SV for some reason looks unfinished. How much would a belly pan cost (new & used)? any ideas anyone. |
Re: Lowers or Belly Pan
Were lowers only standard on later bikes then?
