Re: Another newbie
Welcome to the forum!!
The best tip is to take it easy and grow with the bike. Keep the shiny sides up too ;) Pop along to the madlanders section on here and check out the rideouts and meets, get out and meet the nutters;) (theres a good bunch on here and all are friendly too) |
Re: Another newbie
1/ welcome
2/ good choice with the sv (shame its a pointy) 3/ dont crash (ask plowsie it hurts) 4/ look at madlanders group (there round you neck ov the woods) 5/ start getting the miles under your belt (look for rideouts near you in above) 6/ bewarned these lot are mental (im the only sane one left honest) |
Re: Another newbie
Yeah, i'm taking it easy, i find riding slow the worst, in traffic etc. it will come. i will check out the meets etc. im trying to get some experience on it before i venture too far.

But you have a better beard ;) I had 1100 miles on the clock when I bought my bike back in January. I now have 2500 on it. Youll get the miles in when you start meeting different people. |

Re: Another newbie
hi mate and welcome
Im a newbie aswell ! Passed my test in sept 08 and got bike in october and love it ! Ive done a lot of mods and have just fitted some new tyres today as i had no confidence in the standard tyres ! Make sure you be patient an run the bike in propery, twins more than any engine benifit from proper running in ! Ive done 1200 miles now and it just keeps getting faster, oh and the exhaust keeps getting louder and louder, which is a bonus !! Best wishes Stephen |

Thanks for the welcome, everyone has been very welcoming. Apart from learner cb500 i dont know any different from my bike as to whats good and whats not. my tyres seem ok to me but in the future when i get more experience that might change. |
