Oil cooler shiny cover.
I've got a brand new, never been used chrome cover for an oil cooler. I was going to fit it to my '55 pointy but never did. I am pretty sure it is a Beowulf one.
I'll put a picture up in the morning, but basically if you want it it's yours. Maybe as it's free I should give it to the most deserving/ grovelling .org'er. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Ooooh me me meeeeee
http://backseatcuddler.com/wp-conten...s-in-boots.jpg Deserving hmmmm ok here goes : I am a high mileage rider who takes great care and pride in his SV`s appearance , she would sure look purdy with one those Oil Cover coolers to keep the nasties away from her :) , my cooler is starting to look a bit scabby now and it would help future SVers contemplating getting an SV , as it would draw their eyes away from the cooler and the state she is getting in . |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Good reply, like that cat thing, but I suspect you may get out grovelled.
Plus no points in the "deserving" department yet. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
I think you should give it to somebody with a naked or an S without lowers as if lowers are fitted it is out of site, and as such a waste.
|
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
OK so we are looking for
1. Deserving 2. Grovelling 3. Naked Sounds good to me. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Well mine is an S without lowers , them nasty things spoil the look of the sweet engine

Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Tell ya what , I`ll donate £10 to help for heroes , how does that sound ?
They deserve it more than others :) |

Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Yep, that looks like a Beowulf, I have one.
I'm not sure if you have them, but it needs two rubber "spacers/dampers" which slot onto the top edge, with some glue to hold them in place iirc, in order to fit properly. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
I don't have any spare ones, Doesn't the original Suzuki grill have them on?
|
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Iv got a nice shiny naked got the rad cover but need the oil 1 to go with it

Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Hmm looks like a couple of grovelly replies so far. I'll decide at lunch time tomorrow.
I keep getting pm's from people offering me hard cash, shame they didn't read the thread. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Oh and i promise if you send it to me i will give it a clean every week and maybe treat it to some autosol :)

How about to the guy who parted with all his hard-earned savings to buy the lovely red 55 :)
Any luck finding a KTM yet? -Mike |

Hi there, here is my lovely new KTM, How are you getting on with the SV? I'm missing her already, it was a beautiful bike, wish I had room to keep her as well. |
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
I have to agree Mr Batteryman, it should go to the one who bought your SV.
|
Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Your probably right. To be honest I hadn't thought about it. Well if CheGuevara wants it, he gets first dibs.

Re: Oil cooler shiny cover.
Very nice KTM. Is it what you were hoping for? I bet it's a blast to ride.
I've just started getting mine sorted for the season: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...mage020_sm.jpg I've been out on the SV a few times, but then had family visiting from overseas for 3 weeks, and then have been stuck at home with a bad case of bronchitis for the last 2 weeks. Really enjoy riding it though. My wife has ridden pillion on it and really likes it as well. I've just installed some GB Moto rearsets -now waiting for a longer rear brake line from Hel, but if that arrives today or tomorrow I might try and get out on Sunday. As for the oil cooler cover - I'd love to have it - I'll PM you my address. Cheers, -Mike |
