I have £300 to spend on a can.

...so which should i pick.

I originally thought a carbon scorpion can. but looking on ebay and other places i can get a bloody good Remus or Akrapovic for not much more...
What would you say...oh and by the way, for style reasons, and the fact im a fussy buggar...it has to be black or carbon

Re: I have £300 to spend on a can....

Uhhm, I'd say a Remus Hexacone, looks awesome IMO.

http://www.straightlineracing.co.uk/...emus_1068.html

£327 in Carbon, £325 in Stainless (assuming you have a pointy)

If it's a Curvy you have sir you're look at over £370, and if that's the case I'd go for a Blueflame Hi-mount. :) It's about £260.

That IS sexy...might be a winner there.
And yes its a pointy....SK5

Re: I have £300 to spend on a can....

On that topic, I stumbled across the Hexacone because of this auction.

Good luck.. ;) Although if you bought this you would still need a linkpipe for a Pointy.. but that wouldn't be much?

F##k that why would you spend £300 on a can?

You can get a GSXR shock with full gold valve goodies for that kinda brass...

Re: I have £300 to spend on a can....

spend £100 on a 2nd hand can

then £200 on petrol or suspension

or sweets or hookers or sausage rolls or penny chews or..............

£300 is a bit steep. I love the sound of the street extreme, and im sure you can get a used one for up to £100.

get a decent cheap one from ebay, none add any power and they all do the same thing.

Fuel. And spend the 140 left on some other bits

yorkie_chris 28-04-09 12:36 PM

Re: I have £300 to spend on a can....

I wouldn't have another fuel can, nothing to do with the quality they just weren't helpful with my enquiries about repacking... except to offer their services for a fee...

Compared to the bloke at beowulf who almost fell over his own head with helpfulness.

If your after something a bit different and black, have you seen these? A bit more than your budget but you get all the mid pipework too so no cutting your stock system. They sound beautiful too.

Get a 500ml can of Stella. Cost you a lot less than £300.

+1. Really helpful, good value, sounds great (even better with the baffle out) and leaves plenty of change for a good weekend away.

YC. I think you just got unlucky.

Re: I have £300 to spend on a can.

No, they were very good when I bought a can. Couldn't fault them on it when there was £120 changing hands.

But when it needed repacking (give them their due, the original packing lasted ages)

"I need a can packing"
"OK send it here, £35"
"Can't have the bike off the road, would you sell me the packing" (of course the can was decorating the end of a full race system by this point... so couldn't refit standard can)
"Nope"
"ok where can I get some"
"oh can't tell you that"

So, beowulf

"need some can packing"
"tenner ... postage or you popping round"
"ill pop round"
"sugar in your tea?"

Was thinking 200 shipped. But is somewhere in the cellar as we're having building work done at the mo.
