Anyone want to buy...

A dullsville. I need to get rid of it.

Taxed for another two months. No MOT. Needs a new battery and the rear brake needs unseizing. Brand new tyre on the rear, front is worn out. New Motod stainless steel exhaust. (full system). Has the best ever black leather effect paint job. Broken fairing panels all over the place. But it starts (with a new battery) and runs (once the rear brake is sorted) just fine. Comes with top box in the same black leather effect paint job.

Offers over £50 considered.

Last time I saw it, it was silver no?

Will it sail through the MOT?

PS. I'm serious...Are you?

I'm interested. I could do with something like a dullsville for long motorway commute once I move. Only problem is, I've no idea how I'd collect it, as it doesn't sound rideable.

It was silver then I painted it black (badly). For those that know, I bought this bike for a song as a winter hack. It has served me well through three winters and all I have had to spend on it apart from new tyres are discs front and rear and a new stainless full exhaust system. The discs and the exhaust alone cost £250.

I am currently considering offers.

So what was the reason for the bad black paint job?

I thought a bad black paint job would look better than the bad silver one. :) Everything went well with the re-spray until I started on the lacquer. I didn't wait long enough (about an hour) and the paint reacted with the lacquer.

I can, but the photo's look far better than in real life. I will add a couple in a short while.

Photo's for your viewing. Nice shiny full system stainless steel exhaust. Am I selling it to you? :) Like I said. The photos do it too much justice.

What year / mileage?

Re: Anyone want to buy...

Just to add answer a couple of questions I have had via mail. It's an S Reg. However old that makes it. The clocks state something like 80 or 90k but the actual engine in it is a reconditioned one with around 40k on it. :)

Re: Anyone want to buy...

Oh damn. I just remembered a fault on it. :( The rear light is not working. It needs a new light switch connector soldered on. The brake light works but the normal lights don't. I had a look and could see someone had already been there and done a bit of a crappy soldering job. I decided the best thing to do would be to get a new connector and solder the wires into the original loom. Just never got round to doing it since I stopped riding it.

It's sold now. Thanks for the interest in probably the worst looking good running Dullsville you would have ever seen. May the new owner ride it with as much embarrassment as I did.

Because I was open to offers and not really worried about what I got, I was fully expecting an easy sale. :) The bike looks a state but it has a sound engine underneath it with brand new discs, exhaust and rear tyre. I just wanted it sold. It's a good commuter hack, shaft drive and will do over 200 miles on a tank of juice.
