Is it good or should I just burn the money instead of going?

From what I hear, burn the Money

Seems the approached Mr Bale about playing the lead (not John Connor) as John Connor was just going to be a minor part in this one.

Mr Bale "persuaded" them to let him play John Connor and to make the part bigger - the character was supposed to only have 3 mins screen time, with the focus being on the character Bale was originally supposed to play.

SO, Actor ruins film, basically.

Or so I hear......

I thought it was good...

However i feel its nothing more than a taster of the two more thats to come! It feels very much like its just a warm up film.

Bit like the first matrix.

If you search on the web and see what the ending was going to be......

Unfortunatley the first matrix was the best one out of the lot for me :smt120

Probably gonna see it as I have done with all the others..must be better than the Rise of the machines

I've only ever seen Terminator 2 at the Cinema, not sure about this one... it was also my first experience of going to cinema, I think I was about 16.

Saw it today.

It's alright - some parts are a bit cliched, other parts remind me of the borg vs Picard scene in First Contact.

Better than the third (though that's not hard!). Some good nods to the earlier movies, the Linda Hamilton uncredited vocal cameo was a nice touch oh & I loved the digi-Arnie cameo too!

Glad Claire Danes wasn't in it, or either of the two John Connors from T2 & T3.

Was that the JC is a terminator scooby doo ending? That would've been an interesting plot development for the rest of the franchise.....!

I will be going to see it.... but for one reason only.....

Christian Bale.... Swooooon!!!!

Seriously though ... if i ever listened to film critics or opinions of other people then i wouldn't have seen half the films i have. I have my own brain and like to make up my own mind whether a film is good or not :)

Re: Terminator Salvation

Ok my view on the movie......

I thought Bale was 2-d as John Connor, was kinda flat could have been a lot better.

I though that Marus and kyle were much better chracters they made the moive happen.

The thing is I saw the Dark Night, which I though was good but Heath as the joker was what made the film. Bale seems to lack passion to make his characters in depth. Also it could have been a lot darker, humans are about to be wiped out for good, it could have done that better.

The fx were good, but with that kind of budget they should have been. It wasn't hard for it too be better than T3 was it really? Saw that one in the US. I heard that there are meant to 3 moives in future, lets hope it doesn't do a Matrix. Becasue 2 + 3 were really poor.

I saw it last week. It was the first time I'd been to the movies in years (2 kids + no babysitters).
I did enjoy it but mostly because I'd not been to anything for a while.
It ain't going to be a classic, Bale was irritating, and as I read in the news review, there wasn't much of a story.

T2 is the best, then T1. T3 was rubbish.

Re: Terminator Salvation

the one gripe that i really had was (without ruining the storey for people) in every terminator since T1 they are in the storey before T1 happened (being sent back from the future ect ect) and yet in every sequel they are more technically advanced than in T1  in this one even more so than the rest

so why not just send the best you have in the 1st place

or am i just thinking to hard about it? lol
