What to do with my exhaust
 

Blonde question-

I've just changed the exhaust on my bike, what should i do with the old one, given i'm not using it, and i can't really transport it anywhere (i dont drive). My mother says sell it but i can't post it, and i've no idea if its usable for someone else.

I just got my bike 2 weeks ago and first thing i did was change the exhaust can. Bit of an **** ache having to cut the standard one off.

If i where you id keep it for if you want to come to sell it, the person buying it might like the original one. I no you'd have to get a clamp to attach the old one but it just shows them that you care you know.

Keep it, you may need it for a MOT depending how loud your new one is and how lenient your tester is.

Save it, if you change your bike in the future you can re-fit the original and then sell the new one, also you have a spare if you were ever unfortunate enough for your bike to "fall" over?

No, i've put the standard one back on.

I didn't like the one that my bike came with as i found it too noisy

I like quiet bikes, and i do a lot of riding at night through people.

If you think people would be interested i'll try sell it, but i wasn't sure people would want to buy a used exhaust.

Well I am sure somebody will buy it , pit it up on here in the "For Sale" Section with a picture and if it is a desirable can then it will be gone in minutes .

I have had fruity exhausts on my bikes for years, and even at night and all hours I don't consider it an issue. The only time I thought my bike was too loud was when the exhaust fell off. But each to their own...

And MBK, Mother is still waiting for that apology.

What make is the exhaust? What condition? Take some pics of it and put it for sale in the for sale section. Or advertise it on ebay and put collection only.

I'm gonna take some pictures on thursday, its a micron exhaust, i've had it on the bike a year, previously to me owning the bike it had been ridden 4000 miles in 8 years.

I think its good condition. I'll put it the for sale bit once i've got pictures (its in billericay with my parents) and then you lot can tell me how wrong i've got the price.
