The time has come
To think about going to Scotland next year.
Several dates that may be relevant 31/5-May Bank Holiday 21/6-Longest day 24/6-Mid Summers Day 26-27/6 GM ride-out in Scotland Firstly, who is interested? Second,When?End of May begining June-mid June-end of June Thirdly,How long for Choices being, incorporate the May Bank Holiday saving you one day of annual leave Do you want to go to the GM and have our tour after utilizing the GM as part of the tour, allowing anybody from down South to ride up as a group. Alternatively have our tour before the GM then join in if so desired, allowing you to ride back as part of the group going back down South Be in the area of the G.M.to socialize in the evening. Plan our tour irrelevant of the G.M.and its dates. As in the past utilize Youth Hostels from day to day or perhaps have some double days to take in the local ambiance as tourists with minimum riding for a day. Would there be one particular thing you would want to do or see? Thought please participants Open to all Essex loungers |

Essex Lounge is an event for me, GM is an event for me, if you combine them I lose an event. :( Our double day in Skye was great this year, but that's because Skye was great I think. Not sure Thurso would've had quite the appeal and in general I like to keep moving. As for what to see, as much of Scotland as I've never seen before... |
Re: The time has come
as long as it does not involve lighthouses and gravel tracks i am fairly flexible...agree with tiggy-poos we should plan irreleveant of GM. If we happen to pass like ships in the night then so be it.

Oh-no you have strafed right across your tail-----watch out for them coming out of the sun and be sure to earn yourself loads of brownie points which can be exchanged for a leave pass.---------------------ALTERNATIVELY. If you've been severely wounded by that attack be sure that the rest and recuperation period is for the end of May beginning June:):):):) |
Re: The time has come
As I said the other day, I'd love to but things at the moment look a little bleak so I'll have to wait and see.

|
Re: The time has come
dunno what you were thinking:pirat:, I was on about, the kitchen needs finishing, can you could fix this/that?, do the washing up, you leave the toilet lid up, when are you moving for good?, the cars broke......that sort of drilling....honest:-dd

Re: The time has come
As there doesn't seem to be so many participants as on previous occasions,----two plus tiger,I will leave it wide open regarding dates and as far as a route is concerned let the weather dictate i.e rainy in the west go east and vice-versa
Being that there is only three it shouldn't be a problem regarding accommodation which ever direction we go. Sometime in June Someplace in Scotland [East-West-North] but not the Border Region as we transit going to and from Scotland. |
Re: The time has come
Pegs only getting seven days . . . hes trying ten but it ain't washing, must try harder ;-)har har har, I think my thumb is making that bald spot bigger!!
|
Re: The time has come
Being of a devious mind we could have the seven days before the GM,i.e. Friday to Friday and he would still have his ten.
More than one way to skin a rabbit:) Talking of rabbits--------who's a happy bunny:D |

Well i have my reasons, not sure if others would categorise them as good ones though, one i don't want to go into at this moment in time, another is that i will most likely have to put my beloved Tiger up for sale very soon. Nice to know you'll miss me though. :grouphug: |
