mmmm carbonfibre :D
1 Attachment(s)
got my new front fender to day and my new tax disk holder both proper carbon fibre, just need to get my carbon look (carnt find real) belly pan and im thing about adding a black stripe donw the center of my bike, pics dont so i justice at all (looks puke) but its not tha bad in the flesh
do you think the forks and yokes would look good painted black ? http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/v...l/P1040100.jpg http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/v...l/P1040103.jpg http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/v...l/P1040104.jpg http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/v...l/P1040105.jpg what do you think ? about black wheels polished sides or rims and black fork and yokes ? |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
nah leave em silver if you had a black framed bike they'd look good black.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
I think a carbon "look" belly pan would be a mistake IMO. Plain black or silver would look a lot more classyerer.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
hmm i have see the carbon look belly pan in a few pics and it dosent loke that bad actuly looks quite real, and the wheel are going black any way, as i carnt stand silver and took some of the center paint off when polishing the rear
so what do you think i should do with it ? |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
Looks good mate.......hmm note to self, gonna have to buy some more bling, barwel is catching me up;)
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
^ lamo tbh looking at it out side it look a lot better (under a flood light) than in the pics its coverd in sh*t mind so will look crap, bloody weather
and pfft catching u up yehh right :D belly pan i like http://www.mandp.co.uk/netalogue/con...rge/558086.jpg |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
it looks nice mate think the forks look good as they are though not sure about black?? it's your bike though.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
DONT DO IT!!! leave carbon look where it should be and thts on the shelf.
im sorry but no carbon look looks good or any thing like the real thing, as soon as i see it to me it screams "this person doesnt know what their doing" your polished rims with the odd carbon and some nice glossy black will look awsome!!!!! :D good luck |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
I've a carbon look hugger (it were cheap - very cheap) and it really does look poo up close. It's mostly hidden - but a bellypan is on show and as others have said - i'm pretty sure it'd look pants.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
i liked it better before too, i knew i should have bought it before you, your butching it lol.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
Spoils your bike mate.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
i've never liked the carbon look but each to his own.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
Tart. ;)
Looking again, it really isn't that bad, goes well with the silver. You're bike is also too clean boy. |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
lol intresting comments, i think ure all right and will go with gloss black belly pan, and i will take some better pics (not the ugly side lol) then you can make up ure mind, im not sure ether yet but it does look better out side.
and sally my bike aint clean at all its silver just tends to look clean plus its coverd in water in those pics so looks shiny |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
I'd leave the wheels and the belly pan silver and maybe get a carbon fiber seat cowl
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
^ intresting idea
well todays verdic is i like it :D looks loads and i mean loads better in the light as its more of a grey color than black. im thinking about having the bike sprayed black (tail and tank) in stead of spending £180 on a belly pan i can get the tank done for £100 (did on my other bike) and maybe could get the tail section done for £80ish but not sure as i have a under tray and seat cowl another pic better but one again it was dark by the time i got home will have better pics to morrow without flash because the flash makes the carbon look awful and shiny http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/P1040107.jpg |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
i'd loose the tax disc holder tbh mate, only one bolt holds it on and if they cant undo the bolt they will simply snap it off. Seen it so many times with the carbon ones.
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
Whats with the slick front tyre? lol;)
|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
^ lmao its not actuly slick its just the camera isent that good will even take a pic to prove it if u want :D

Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
some scroates will nick anything that carbon tho, thats my point. And then you get the agro of having to get a new tax disc from DVLA.

Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D

http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/P1040113.jpg http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/P1040116.jpg any one else think i should stubby the exhast ? http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/P1040111.jpg |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
whats that black crap on the tank!, the mudguard i could live with! im not far away, ill rip the them off if we meet one day lol
I like the exhaust thats on, but a short one would look equally as good IMO |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
lol they are stomp grips for when ure hanging off the bike also stop fatigue in ure arms on long rides- trust me they wernt a style thing just a usful thing, lol just realised i still have the tape on there from when i put them on about 4 weeks ago :P
and im not changing the exhast as i like it but was thinking about cutting it down just about 5inch shorter maybe a bit more again more so people behind one the right hand side can see the indicater as its hidden buy the ehaust i like the black wheels lol :P PS im a big fan of black ..... http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/o...ddedwheels.jpg |
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D

|
Re: mmmm carbonfibre :D
