Re: Charity

Shelly

Sell it and donate the cash, charities have enough worries without having to shift on merchandise...

Can't you take it back to the shop it was purchased from if it's (presumably) as new?

No I had Wii as a pressy and can't accept now so can't really sell that, tried to give it back to where it came from to be told "give it to charity" so that I am doing.

Sold my Wii fit board that I bought last week, that was mine so sold that for what I paid for it.

Re: Charity

Before you sell it, there are plenty of amusing things you can do with a Wii - there used to be loads on youtube. :-)

But good for you - if you can't accept it, there is someone out there who can benefit from your kindness.

Well videoing such activity might be entertaining... :-)
(reminds me of that John Cleese film where he started bashing his car with a tree branch rather manically).

Don't get let yourself get wound up tho. Hey, why don't you get a marker pen and draw on your face and post some pics?

bugger! Seconds ahead of me.

If you want double benefit, sell it at a knock down price to a friend AND give the proceeds to charity.

Tramadol's where it's at dude, spent 24hrs floating 6 inches over my bed after my trip to hospital in May:D

Re: Charity

Cancer research spend too much of their donations on fancy headquarters and overheads, macmillian would be better imo.
Rspca always need donations, dont know what people think they know about rspca but a friend of mine is a senior inspector and they do a lot of good work.

We donate all our spare stuff to the pdsa tbh, stuff we gave them recently has raised over 100 quid, they send you a letter telling whats been raised etc.

Good luck.

Ah, I got to go home the same day as the surgery so they gave me a doggie bag of pills to keep me high for the next few days

They maxxed me out on morphine that afternoon and started me on tramadol, paracetamol and volterol for the swelling, very trippy:smt080

Re: Charity

I agree about a children's hospital or a hospice. There must be one near Woozle land. Tell your local paper and radio station what you are doing and say that if anyone else has some games they don't play then they can send them to the same place. They'll think you are a little Christmas angel.
