Re: Just for A*Hero
I'll reckon you do maahhhooosive wheelies judging by the size of it ;-)
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
At least the bike is ugly enough to not be spoiled by the addition of a t*p b*x.
What do you think of the Versys? I'm thinking of getting something similar to replace my D**v*ll* winter hack. |

I absolutely love it. For my useage it's ideal, not too fast, not too slow, handles like it's on rails compared to any standard SV I've ridden, great brakes with the ABS fitted, huge luggage capacity, 225 mile tank range if treated reasonable well, 200 miles if you do a bit of caning. It's the most comfortable bike I have ever had the pleasure of doing any distance on, in as much as I don't need to stop to rest myself when it needs filling up. All in all I don't regret buying it for a second. If I have one gripe it would be that it lacks a little power for overtaking, but to be perfectly honest I'm quite happy riding at fairly sedate speeds on it anyway... oh, and the finish of the chassis parts like brackets and fasteners isn't what it could be (not quite as good as an SV if I were honest) |
Re: Just for A*Hero
You need to change your signature Lozzo ;-)
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
So I do, brb
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
lozzo, that is by far the greatest motorcycle ever now. Topbox, panniers, heated grips, GPS and handlebar muffs
i love you |
Re: Just for A*Hero
that looks a cracking mile muncher lozzo.
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
That's exactly what I've built it to be, a year round comfy mile muncher for the short-arsed man about town

Re: Just for A*Hero
Looks like a similar switch to me - I changed from an '04 SV650S to a 650 V-Strom. Know what you mean about comfort - feels like I could ride it all day (which is why I got it).
Surprised you think it handles better than the SV. Maybe I need more time to get used to it but I have less confidence in the Strom in high speed corners due to the riding position. Cheers Keith |
Re: Just for A*Hero
Looking nice. If I manage to ever afford the tank cover and engine guards, we'd have matching bikes! (top box, panniers, scottoiler, muffs although mine has MRA & OEM screen mod)

Re: Just for A*Hero
Are you on the Versys forum too?
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
Yup, going by username GC (although don't tend to post that often)
|
Re: Just for A*Hero
Nice bike, I reckon you could do with a few more boxes though ;-)
How many kwaks you owned in the past then Lozzo? |

I like how most V owners take pictures from the side on or from the rear. Because it's b@st@rd ugly from the front. :D |
