I love the banner, but had to set it back to default as the dark contrasting colours really hurt my eyes.

Not really fussed either way, but the black should help your eyes a bit. White is what does your eyes in.

ive turned it from lucas dark night to lucas dark day. its much better viewing.

Serisouly though, once you're used to it the black background will be better for your eyes. That's why CAD operatives usually have their background set to black because they have to stare at it all day!

Like the new banner. Not sure about the colour scheme though, it's v. high contrast. Doesn't matter if it's changeable in preferences, though.

Thing for me is often that I surf at work, so with a big black background, or with bright colours, it's all the more obvious when I'm surfing the web and not doing that 'work' thing they keep talking about.

And red looks better on a black background. Trust me, i have a black framed red bike. I know of what i speaketh.

Exactly what I did, much more easier. My eyes got a right shock, sensitive as they are, white on black aaaargh not good. Probably would get used to it but tbh its too intense for the likes of me :-(

It's okay, I've had it for a couple of days now and its ok.
you do get used to it.
it's the sudden change.... same as the last time we went from one server to this one.

Problem solved - user CP - edit options - scroll down and change to "dark day"! much nicer and easier on the eye :cool: btw brilliant banner - I like it :smt023

Or, just a thought - one with the foil lining removed from its hat - maybe those that said they like it, voted that they like it, because they err... like it?

not realy, LCD screens have the backlight perm on, its only if the light is let though or not

Only if you're using an old CRT screen

LCDs burn more energy displaying a black screen than a white one...
