I'll be going a wiggly waggly way to the AR on Friday 6th August. Anyone who would like to join me can do so at Ruthin. The route I'll be taking is posted below

I'll be riding down with Mike, so if anyone wants to meet me at Chester services (M56 J14) and then ride over to Ruthin with me I'm happy to do that.

Might make sense for us lot north of the **** canal to meet up with you border lot once we leave civilisation.

Sounds good to me, depending what those meeting me want to do we can either meet at the services at 10.45 and then leave to arrive for 11.45 or get to Ruthin sooner and grab a bite to eat there (no idea where, ideas welcome!).

Where in Ruthin is easy, Park Cafe behind the Texaco. Plenty of parking and biker friendly. They do a good Brunch.

Well, the Sunday just gone, Dan and I rode from Manchester to Wiltshire via Welshpool and it was a fab ride. Took us a total of just 5.5 hours ride time to get home and we were tired, but not too achy!

You'll have a fab trip down and if you fancy a stop in Welshpool, there is a bike friendly pub/B&B there called the Westwood Park which will do you a brew/cold drink :-)

Ride bypasses Welshpool to avoid the boring road from there to Newtown. :cool: It's a good route that was used on NWR6.

Cool. We didn't do that road either. We went east and came down through Hereford and Monmouth. Was a good road for my first time on the Kwak.

If I didn't have to meet and greet, I'd have been tempted to ride up and meet you somewhere for a Friday blat...:smt040

Perfect, looks like I'll be getting there early and having food then :D That alright with anyone that's meeting me at Chester services?

Leave the services at 10:30, arrive in Ruthin for about 11:15 and have some food. That gives people chance to eat and fuel up at the Texaco if needed.

Right , if I go to work early on Friday I can finish early and meet up with you lot in Ruthin , I can go in for 6 and finish for 11 :)

Meeting time has not changed, nor has the leaving time. :D The plan has been to leave Ruthin at 12:00. Claire and me will be at the cafe from 11 for brunch. As long as folks turn up between 11 and 12 then there is no problem. If folks are a little late, it's not a problem if their name is on the list, we will wait.

I must have my organised head on, was packed 2 days ago lol. Cant wait now, i`ll be up at stupid o`clock tomoz drumming my fingers till i can start the bike. Should be ok for fuel till Ruthin, but not an issue either way. See u all in the morning :)

I'm now packed and ready to roll. Forgot how large my sleeping bag is when packed down... not been camping on the bike before and am used to throwing it into a massive car boot! See you tomorrow people :D

Was a nice ride down, I really like that route. :smt040 It was nice to do it at a more leisurely pace for a change, rather than flat out everywhere! :smt018

Ah it was alright dude , didn`t cause a ball ache or anything , we just missed one turn off and a little bit of dithering but we got there :) and what a weekend it was .
