4 dayers

I want to travel as much as possible during 2011 and figured I have 4 rest days, surely a lot can be done in 4 days.

I have followed a friend and logged onto a sofa surfing website for foreign places.......but has any one got any places in UK that are a must to visit.

Bike may go up for sale or just sit and fester, I can't be bothered with it

Edit : 1st trip planned ..... an unlucky orger us gonna have a knock on their door :cyclops:

Re: 4 dayers

I was gonna suggest Jockland but look to have been beaten to it. I'd say more Glasgow/west coast though.

Re: 4 dayers

do Ireland - start at one end go round the coast and come off at the other end - IE stranraer arrival Dublin/DL departure.
Skye is fantastic as is most of the highlands.

Shell - my door's always open is you want to a place to crash/abuse while doing central belt and above.

I would do loads of coastal routes start at one place and follow the coast.

Loch Ness.
A circuit of the M25 at 3am.
Any ferry port (with a ferry ticket in your tankbag)

Normandy? Ride/drive down and overnight ferry will give you four days exploring then overnighter back - doable from Stafford, just jump on the motorway. Quite a bit more to see than just WWII related stuff (but plenty of that if it is of interest). See the trip report of our ride there in 2008 http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=118005

My sis used to live just outside Dundee

Get yourself up to Glenshee and ski the Tiger

Plenty of lovely roads, lovely sandy beaches (bit cold at the mo :p)

Dunkeld is not far away, that's nice too and Pitlochry too

Sounds like that Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry film here he was trying to transport someone to a trial or summat. Did you get shot at a lot? Any orangutans involved? Maybe that was another film...
