Best song ever

I seldom grow to like an artist quickly, let alone how much I am in love with Rebecca Black now. An absolute phenomenon. Check this out:

Really? Because she sounds like the female equivalent of Justin Bieber to me. No offence :)

Led Zeppelin my left foot. Rebecca Black has pure talent. If she can do that with a $2000 video, imagine the possibilities of such a young idol in a few years with all the media coverage she's getting. A top star in the making. She'll go down in history.

Hope so, 'cos she's only 13 and that would ensure that he's locked up for a very long time

I could post up a million brilliant and talented tracks from Chicken Shack, to Fleetwood Mac, eee to Zep n back.....but the song that really gets me at the moment, as a current artist, much better than the OPs silly little girl is this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZtUjFJvYkA
Not normally the type of genre for me to like TBH, but a very good live voice

I'm a grade 8 distinction* drummer, a reasonable guitarist and I'm told I sing well. I never stop listening to music, I'm surrounded by other people with intuitive tastes in music, and we all agree that this song has it all. The rhythm is superb, and the melody is so catchy, let alone how Black sings the notes with such finesse. She's got the voice of an angel.

The rapping interlude is the first and only rapping I've ever enjoyed, too, and I don't feel at all ashamed in saying that. Look at the amount of views this video has gotten. Over 20,000,000 in a few days. Finally she's getting the attention she deserves.

Funny you mention this.

The backing singers in my band piped up about this girl yesterday. They then showed a couple of videos of different 'artists' with the same blokes 'rapping' in them (you know- the bloke in the car in this one). Not sure if they're just hired sessioners or the guys behind it.

But there is something REALLY creepy about the whole thing and it actually made me feel a little sick.

I wonder if an investigation into the background of it would bring out some VERY disturbing things re the producers etc. (though you could say the same re the BBC!)

Alternatively, it's just rich kids who "wanna be pop stars" and their parents just pay for it all to happen.

Either way....
