Re: Q/A Throttle

yes, and my point was, if you read some of the posts you'd find that the early R6 throttle tube fits the Sv (without going in to details and trimming etc) so thats probably the one you'd want.

ok doesnt seem to be much on the forum regarding "active" q/a throttles other than ppl use them, will look into seeing if a r6 kit will fit cheers.

Re: Q/A Throttle

The SV650 injected bike needs the ZX10R fitment Active Q/A throttle. Try and get the one with the 3 different cams so you can adjust the opening to suit.

forgive me bringing intoquestion the use of q a throttles, but i would be very interested to see the the laptime of o a rider using a qa throttle , and one who isnt, i didnt know the were even legal for uk minitwins rules, rob

Handlebars, hand controls and cables may be altered or replaced (does not include brake master cylinder) from those fitted to the homologated motorcycle.

That is way too subjective! Even the differences between laptimes on identical bikes (one with a QA throttle and one without) with the same rider couldn't be totally attributed the the throttle!

What I found looking at my logger is that I got to 100% throttle sooner on the exits of some corners (lefts actually), purely because I didn't have to re-grip the throttle which was great. However, I also found that it completely screwed my starts as you have to be that much more careful not to launch the front! That did take getting use to.

Yes Luke i totally agreee with that, and thanks for the head up on the start issue ! I thought that would have to be done more carefully.
I know ive done some sh*te starts with a std throttle !!!!

Re: Q/A Throttle

Interested in getting one for my 2003 SV650s, is there a table of which year R6 tubes fit which SV? Or are they all the same?

Cheers !
