The Aprillia RSV4 in white has really turned my head! Yes, in white, I HATE white bikes / cars. Went to see one in the flesh about two weeks ago and almost succumbed to put my name on one!

Trouble is:-

• I cannot afford one right now, £14K is a lot of wonga!
• I want to keep the VFR for a 'practical' bike
• I cannot afford one right now
• I've never owned a sports bike
• I cannot afford one right now
• How can I like a white bike?
• I cannot afford one right now
• I'll need new leathers
• I cannot afford one right now
• I'll need new helmet and boots
• I cannot afford one right now
• .....

You get the picture... :D I had just recovered from the intoxication of seeing it in the flesh and thought I was over it. Then I foolishly went on Youtube...

Oh Gooohhhddd!!! I think I've just had another crisis!

What should I do, mighty ORG? Sell my body on street corners to afford to prostrate myself at the sportsbike altar? Or man up, be sensible and forget about the little temptress?

Test ride... it might be pornographic to look at, but its no good if you can't ride more than 10 miles without feeling like you've got your feet up your bum or your head in front of the clocks... its a very small bike in the flesh.

Test ride is the answer Mike. But if you do like it after the test ride it'll take years to get the wonga if you're relying on what you get for your body

Get the new V4 Tuono instead ;) Or thinking on it you can get last years V-twin Tuono cheap right now...a little more than £7K new I think

Or try an SMT ;)....in fact just go test riding everyday for 2 weeks, that'll satisfy all these urges even if you don't buy anything :lol:

On one hand I'm all for doing what you wanna do in life, only live once kinda attitude, but a sports bike is a young mans game IMO.

take it for a test ride and feel how heavy it actually is (if its anything like the old twin one)

also it will likely frighten the bajesus out of you as its 178 bhp so basically a missile with handlebars

Well thanks to all for the suggestion to test ride one. Any one of anywhere doing test rides for the RSV4? [-o< No chance locally...

It most likely will frighten the bejesus out of me, but unfortunately that is part of the attraction! I've never hankered for a sports bike before this (except for the RVFs of course, but that's a given, right?).

It's all tongue in cheek until I win the lottery anyways...

Have listened to a few on Youtube and have to say on it sounds a lot like the VFR, just MORRRREEEE :D (well my VFR with Staintunes). V4s rock, this I hold to be FACT! :cool:

Someone has offered me a black one as trade for the hyper, it's got a full akrapovic on and looks bad ass. It's a lot of money extra (£2500 on top of the hyper) though and my heart is set on a blade.

Damn sexy though, it's the first trade offer I've actually considered so far.

Friends dad traded in his blade for an rsv4 factory. He said the blade was just too easy to ride and not as involving as the rsv4. Test ride one.

Lack of pillion capability rules it out as well to be honest. It's probably to focused like the hyper as well, I need smooth IL4ness back.

Your only allowed to get it if you get Max Biaggi leathers. Its a sweet little thing, Jim Allan in Falkirk has/had one sitting at the front door.

And I know they offer test rides, cause they offered me 1 12 months ago, with a 3yr 2% finance deal. My dad dragged me out of there before I did something I wouldnt have regretted :rolleyes:

I'm seeing them for as little as 12K on Biketrader... 0% finance with 50% down... If my house sells this weekend, I may do something stupid!

Hell yeah, you only live once... soon enough it won't be possible or will be to cost prohibitive to own such things. At least then you will have something you can then bring in the house and keep as an ornament.
