R6 throttle tube mod - Pointy?

I managed to snap my throttle tube when fitting some heated grips. Instead of replacing it with an SV throttle tube, I was thinking of getting the R6 throttle tube instead. I very rarely use full throttle (maybe that's a good thing?) mainly because it's uncomfortable twisting my wrist right the way back just to get there.

I have a K6 pointy. Any tips or anything I should know? Worth doing etc?

^ Thanks. I think I'll give it a miss. I was looking more for a cheap option but there's no way I'm risking the throttle getting stuck.

according to svrider, it can be done to a pointy with the r6 tube but needs some filing to the tube, think it was a small groove or similar.

can look for it if you need it.

When I was researching this for the curvy there was a "how to" guide for the pointy.

Can I ask what doing this mod would achieve? Excuse me if I'm asking a silly question

Reduces the amount of 'wrist twist' required to obtain fully open throttle as far as i understand.
