Mission: Replace the Ace!
5 Attachment(s)
As you all know a couple of months ago I sold the Ace (Big hi five to the Spankster for lending me a steed for the AR:) ), this of course left me with Summer passing and a massive Riding itch to scratch.
So I had a look on Fleabay and found some "interesting" bikes and nearly bought a couple of them, some of these "mechanical marvels" include........ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3211466734...84.m1438.l2648 and...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1811676232...84.m1438.l2648 also...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2811273867...84.m1438.l2648 but in the end I treated myself to something a little nicer, so GMers and fellow Organs, guess what??? Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
I think they look quite cool and unique, which is a plus. I've read plenty of reviews slagging them off, but some people reckon they'll be classics of the future due to their comparative rarity.

Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
It is odd looking but it grows on you and she is lovely to ride!:smt040

I thought the front looked like a curvy pointy (or a pointy curvy). :-) :-D |
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Having ridden one more than once and taken it on track I think its a very nice bike and a good choice.
Every now and again I find myself looking at prices on eBay... Out of interest what year model is it? |

Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Have you tried the slipper clutch yet?
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Nope.
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Well get out on it then!!!
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Only picked it up today, not ragged it yet, thought it best not to drop a gear brake traction and bin it on the first day, although the slipper must work as I didn't have as much drama on the downshifts as I did riding Marks bike.
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Its, erm, interesting looking that's for sure
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Cool choice .
Be good to see what its like in the flesh . If EAR do a ride that I can make might do ,Or if you drop south for TOGMIE . |

Oh and you do realise you are now likely to be responsible for Jammy turning into a purple smudge on a tree somewhere as he has now got first refusal on my bike when I finally get rid. |
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
That is some funky front disc!
Nice bike overall though, not seen one of those before! |
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
'as he has now got first refusal on my bike when I finally get rid.'
oh myyyyyyyy |
Mission: Replace the Ace!
Looks mean. And those brakes look as though they'd throw you over the bars before you even think about touching the lever.
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
That's what I thought, but there's only 1 disc! :o
|
Mission: Replace the Ace!
Oh, I though it had twin discs like most other buells.
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
No, it's a budget bike. tehehehehe.
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
As its a harley in a pretty frock, does that mean your growing a beer gut and matching dennim?
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
NTECUK is right. Piece of posing ****. Beer guts are for Ducati owners as well though.
Have to change his name now to Mr Orange County. ;-) |
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
So do we all get a shot on it then?
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Bloody piece of **** American junk!:smt091
Had a small under seat fire last week! So she's back in the dealers getting fixed! I'm thinking 'bout changing her for something Japanese, Z1000, Z750 maybe? |

Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Well nobody ever saw that coming.
Why not buy a 1970's triumph next for more reliability? |
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
Why break down when you can catch on fire?
|
Re: Mission: Replace the Ace!
