GM ride out 22nd for those not ARing

For those not heading up to the AR thought I'd see about a GM ride-out. So with the usual over-organising that goes into these things :-

When :- 09:00 Sunday 22nd June
Where :- Blackbushe airfield
Route :- A wiggly one
Destination :- TBD
Special features :- Lunch stop somewhere. 6-7 fuel stops for Jammy unless he can work out how to top up more than 2 litres at a time
Rules :- No ****s

The ex-GM virgins from last week will hopefully confirm that you'll be looked after and not left behind in the middle of nowhere. The initiation is soon over and you hair grows back within a week or two.

Who fancies coming out to play?

If my current weekend plans fall through, i'll be up for it. If i'm on the DRZ I may have to take an off road short cut though:D

That's as may be. But I couldn't make it this morning.

On a side note, I cant make it next weekend either.

I'm a potential attendee, will run it by the boss and see if I'm allowed.

Re: GM ride out 22nd for those not ARing

Just to set expectations, my bike is currently in quite a few bits and some of them are not currently in my possession. There is a very good chance I may have to let you down for Sunday. Obviously nothing stopping someone else leading the run.

I might be up for this ride now as I have bailed on the AR.

OK chaps, looks like I'll be spending Sunday putting the bike back together. This however does not cancel the ride, just means you need another leader. Tomor or DaddyJob are perfectly capable of providing an entertaining route and both far better looking.

I am actually off work on Sunday! I imagine I'll be out and about early doors before all the car w*nkers wake up but I'll certainly be there for 09:00 and might just peel off a bit early.

Turns out my brake lines aren't currently long enough so will need to order some more. As such unlikely to make it.

possibly might be in if i get everything finished.

How liberal is the 9:00 start? my neighbours might get a bit fecked off at me leaving at 8:00.

I'm still unemployed so need to watch the spending. Shame as I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms, especially in this nice weather...

Ta Gav. I was not enjoying things at my last place and decided to make a clean break. Looking for a job is a full time occupation these days and I was getting nowhere over the last few months trying to fit it around the chaos of my role. Several promising leads have popped up in the last few days so fingers crossed it won't be for long.

oh not to bad then, I thought it was redundancy. Don't like hearing of people being made redundant, unless they deserve it.

Re: GM ride out 22nd for those not ARing

Right then. Bike's back together. Having spent too long messing with it today I have only a brief pass for a shake-down ride Sunday. Probably not worth anyone doing any real distance to join in unless someone else want to lead a more significant ride.

I'll swing by Blackbushe at 09:00 and will be out for an hour or so of wigglage. If anyone wants to join you are very welcome but I'll not be waiting around if there's nobody there.

Speedo still needs soldering and attaching so will be doing that tomorrow afternoon rather than joining you fair folks.
