Nitron race/track shock SOLD SOLD

Nitron shock from my 2003 pointy, slots straight in with standard linkage and good working order with general marks from mounting and use (one of shock spring sides is unmarked, other side has some chipping to plastic coating as per photos) Eye to eye measures 340mm at the minute, but is also height adjustable so this can be changed to suit. Will come with a Nitron booklet (download) that gives some guidance on setting sag and shock set up. £295 posted

Re: Nitron race/track shock

I can't see any model number on the shock, it was on my bike when I bought it. Spring has Nitron SSO525 printed on it. It's fully adjustable with compression on the remote reservoir, rebound below the spring and also adjustable for height. It's either bespoke for the SV pointy or a general fit for bikes with similar linkage and shock mounting widths. i have done a bit of a reverse change from track bike to road legal bike and fitted a zx10 shock, hence selling this.

Re: Nitron race/track shock

Spoken to Nitron and they have confirmed its bespoke for SV650 and the previous version of their current model R2 track shock (£650). The 525 stamped on the spring is the rate in pounds/inch and this equates to 9.4Kg/mm. If no interest from members will put on ebay at the weekend. Thanks

I think I know the answer already but I'm guessing this will only fit a pointy?

Re: Nitron race/track shock

If the width of the top and bottom mounts are same on both bikes then I don't see why it wouldn't fit a curvy as its height adjustable and profile is just like a standard shock due to remote reservoir. If different mounting widths either top or bottom then it won't !!

I will measure mounting point widths in the morning (our morning) and you can check against your curvy.
