Friday 18th

End of the week again, Coffee time.

I'll be a bit later than normal, after a little ride around Essex (I'll post up something along the same lines every other Friday), but should be there for about 8.30 or so.

Cheers Mark.

Sudoxe 15-06-04 07:52 AM

Im on late shift this week, so I should be able to get down :)

Anyone got directions from the A40 ;)

Dan

Jelster 15-06-04 08:05 AM

Where on the A40 mate, could meet you and "bring" you in...

.

Sudoxe 15-06-04 08:12 AM

Acton on the A40, on the way back I normally go down marylebone road, holborn towards then waterloo bridge. I dont leave until 7 though.

Dan

Magoo 15-06-04 08:15 AM

I will be there but does anyone fancy a meet at the Ace Cafe for 6 or 6:30 then an hours ride and back into Soho for 8:30?

Ah, gowan!

jonboy 15-06-04 08:23 AM

Phil you haven't been listening have you?

Mark has organised a rideout that evening:

Stig 15-06-04 08:44 AM

I'll be at Nero's still not sure if I will finish work early enough to make the rideout though

Raf 15-06-04 09:29 AM

I am dependant on Suzuki West London fixing my speedo. I will hand the bike over to them on thursday, I hope they can fix it on the same day. :(

SteveH 15-06-04 09:34 AM

One shall be coming on friday  meet at ace or mark's little run don't mind either :P depending what time I get the bike back from the service...........................hey raf thought it was better to have loved and lost then too never have loved :?: :?:

Friday 18th

I'd love to join you folks at Nero's. Is it alright just turn up and introduce myself? Where do you park? Bit chocka, isn't it - esp Friday pm.

Also, I'd love a rideout beforehand. I don't think I'd get to the Ace before 6:30 though. I'm not a knee-down mentalist (yet) so I don't know if I'd hold you up or not.

I wouldn't be in Essex 'till about 8, so I guess that's out!

Cheers,

Jason

Just show up and park in front of Nero's on Frith Street (It's double yellows but the parking attendands and all the bikers have come to a peaceful agreement). Most of us are usually there by 8 so just show up and introduce yourself.

Ahh one that hasn't yet been introduced to the wonderful fortune cookie database, I took that quote from there. Found it hilarious and it hit rather close to home.

Magoo 15-06-04 11:22 AM

Okay so I wasn't taking much notice of other goings-on on the board and had no idea about the Essex trip! Own little world as usual!

So who is actually going to do the Essex thing before Soho? Apart from Mark of course!

Stig 15-06-04 12:37 PM

If I can get off work early enough I will be there

howardr 15-06-04 01:24 PM

Well I'll be there with me 'Trumpet'

I've just read a road-test in Fast Bikes and they 'dis' it big-time! Still, WTF do they know?!

I'm happy to meet at the Ace at around 7:30 for a ride in if anyone's interested but I think you're all getting there earlier than that to go off for a ride with Mark. I'd come along too but I'll be way over for my 500 mile 'service' if I go.

Anyone interested, just let me know. Otherwise, I'll be there 8-ish on me own.

Cor blimey guv, owning a Triumph makes you lapse into Cockney rhyming slang don'it?

jonboy 16-06-04 11:18 AM

Sorry guys, work committments now mean I'm out of action for the next few days. Have a good time and I'll hopefully catch you all next week.

Well that was "Fast" Bike, maybe your Trumpet doesn't qualify ?

Sorry Howard, couldn't resist that one

120 bhp and 155 mph not fast enough? See you in A&E!

This is how 'balanced' their review was ...

"... it's about as cool as finding your dad wearing a reversed baseball cap and your girlfriend's underwear, while w*nking into the sink."

They're clearly only impressed by plastic, rice-burning, crotch-rockets

Certainly fast enough with more torque/useable power than most supersports.

If can't do 160 then it's not in the reckoning.....

They just like lightweight high power bikes, that's why it's called "Fast Bikes" magazine. I think you were very patriotic buying a Triumph, if only the Daytona 600 had not been so tall I may have got one of those myself.....

greeno76 18-06-04 11:36 AM

Is anyone going to be at the Ace cafe for a ride tonight? If so I can be there from about 1830 on a Yellow '00 SV.

I don't really know any classic routes so if I'm on my own I'll probably just end up doing a lap of the A406!

Cheers,
Jason

Jelster 18-06-04 12:06 PM

I'll be meeting Sudoxe on the A40 at about 7:30'ish, round by the A406.... I'll post on here when/where I'm meeting him, if he ever answers his blinking phone !!

Magoo 18-06-04 12:56 PM

I was hoping to meet TopCat at the Ace for about 6:30/7:00 but havent heard from him yet. Not sure if there was any plans to actually do much more than ride into Soho from there but I suppose we can see when we get there.

Fancied popping up the A41 to Tring for a bit of a giggle at the Tring Roundabout but not sure how the weather will hold for roundabout surfing!

Anyone else for a bit of fun?

howardr 18-06-04 01:27 PM

Steve

I might be able to meet you dudes at around 7:30 - Hangar Lane gyratory?

Post on here to confirm. I'll check before I leave work at around 5:00 pm.

SteveH 18-06-04 02:59 PM

Magoo, mark is doing a little ride tonight before the soho coffee group  if you fancy going(on rideout & meets), I'am not picking my bike up till 5pm so I don't know if I can make it but if you guys are meeting at the Ace for 7pm I should be able to make that

Magoo 18-06-04 03:13 PM

Steve

I know about Marks ride but don't want to go that far really hence the suggestion to meet at the Ace. I will be there from about 6:30, standing on my tod waiting to see if I have any friends...if you can come down for 7 then I/we can wait for you.

See you later hopefully

Magoo

Iansv 18-06-04 03:39 PM

Just had a phone call from Billymac, he can't get on site atm, he's gonna meet you on the burnham road.. Copper K3

howardr 18-06-04 03:55 PM

If you guys can hold out until 7:30 I'll meet you at The Ace.

Jelster 18-06-04 03:56 PM

Greeno,

I'm meeting Sudoxe at the garage in Victoria Road by North Acton Tube Station at 7:30 (see http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...multimap.y=269)

Howard, can you make it there ????

Phil, could quite fancy that but will have others in tow... Best SMS TC, by now he may well be in the pub !!!

.

Raf 18-06-04 03:58 PM

Enjoy yourselves tonight guys. My bike is currently at west london suzuki where they reckon my speedo problem is either: dodgy wiring loom, bad connector to the pcb or the clock itself is shagged. Have one for me and more importantly have one for BigApe aswell.

howardr 18-06-04 04:00 PM

Steve

Is that the little one-way system by the Carphone Warehouse?

Jelster 18-06-04 04:02 PM

Yes.....

Sudoxe 18-06-04 04:06 PM

Yep it is, past the nec building and before the pub :)

howardr 18-06-04 04:09 PM

See ya there.

greeno76 18-06-04 04:13 PM

Many thanks, Steve. I'll be there just before 1930 - if I can find my way there!

J

SteveH 18-06-04 04:31 PM
