Hi and welcome to the site! :D

There was a thread about the new bike a little while ago here I think it was the black frame that polarised opinons :? There's some more pics in that link too.

Laters...

Horrible. That square trellis frame and the sharp lines are just annoying. I think I'll stick with my naked 2000.

I do like the idea of the small wind deflector. I was thinking about getting the one from the Ducati S4r until the dealer told me the sticker price.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but the '05 SV650 has a narrower radiator, 40 mm narrower.

05 SV

Yep, I sure did and I like the black wheels too. I'm not sure about the all black frame though. :?
Seems like Suzuki is trying to blend the frame into the motorcycle. That SV frame is what I like the most and I like it to really stand out. Thats why I believe the silver or cast aluminim looks better.
Just my .02 pence worth.
It might look better with an all black paint scheme silver engine combo.
Im referring to the Naked version, the better looking one of course.

sorry but tat naked version is just terrible!

looks like that'll be the bike for taking your das on instead of bandits and hairnets

it looks cheap and just plain ugly.

Yes, I suppose your right, even some people don't look good Naked!
But some do and thats why Suzuki made the Naked SV650.

a naked sv with a shiny frame is a nice bike.

it's just the black frame, it looks like an older bike or a rusty bike covered in hammerite

Hohbein 15-10-04 07:48 PM

i absolutely love the look of that bike. personally prefer the black frame to the silver... it just looks so......... grr, manly! just need a gatlin cannon mounted on the rear and it'd look like an apatchi gunship...

might wait till 2005 :D

radiator

about time they did something about the radiator width. what's the point of riding a narrow twin with a vented scaffold plank across the frame ?

bzh 16-10-04 04:34 PM

 the new SV650 is nice : black setting :D I have peind the one of my SV 650 2003 in mat black

40mm is not much, but every little bit sure don't hurt any. I believe the Suzuki sold frame sliders should do a better job of protecting the radiator now.

bzh 16-10-04 04:45 PM

if SUZUKI finds the means to protect the radiator better that is better

 I like the black setting that's why I also made it on my SV650 2003

The radiator wouldn't look quite so vulnerable with a transverse-mounted in-line 4-pot motor instead of the current longitudinally-mounted V-twin

FWTW, I think both the naked or the S would look OK with a black frame provided that the rest of the bike was black too; tank, seat unit, wheels, engine paint, etc. In fact the naked would look real mean if all black and "Speed Triple" twin lights at the front.

Carsick 16-10-04 05:07 PM

The black S thou looks damn nice with the black frame.

Peter Henry 18-10-04 03:25 PM

I got to say that the black for me looks terrific! A little too much of it perhaps but very nice.I would have put a 3/4 fairing like the Falco on it...that would really look great. :? Plus get the wheels done gold for a nice touch.ok ok I'm off!
