You'll notice that I have added a "wimps" get out of jail section for those that couldn't make it last week

jonboy 28-02-05 02:00 PM

You do know it's Monday, don't you Ape? Anyway I'm getting bored with Soho, it's full of weirdos that do nothing but talk about motorcycles. After all, there are other subjects, like cleaning for instance...

I'll be there (though I admit I've said that before). Really, I'll try.

.

Mr Toad 28-02-05 03:12 PM

I'll be along - late as usual I guess

Sarj 28-02-05 03:45 PM

Very possibly...

Viney 28-02-05 04:23 PM

Possibly, now that the bike is working!!

Spiderman 28-02-05 07:19 PM

Put it this way. I'd like to be there.
The roads and gods seem to have conflicting ideas to me tho

Sid Squid 28-02-05 07:39 PM

yeah right,

busted spine= professional opinion, might walk again = 16 weeks back to riding
crushed foot (all bones broken) = professional opinion, might loose foot = 8 weeks back to riding.

dislocated thumb = professional opinion, 48hrs immobile and a week light use = riding two days later.

Just as well I never listened to what they say

Positive Mental Attitude, works wonders.l

I'm sure if you ask nicely some one would pillion you in to Soho for the evening :?:

Cheers Mark.

Whilst you're light-heartedly talking about the very serious subject of cleaning and polishing, if any one of my very dear friends would like to buy me an early Xmas prezzie then it may be purchased from here:

https://www.swissol.com/E/GB/Produkte_Lack3.htm

Naturally I would prefer the "Divine" but will gladly accept the "Mystery" wax should you feel in a generous mood. Realizing what a jolly good bunch you all are I know I won't have to wait long. Will I?

Add too add.

11 broken ribs + pelvis broken into multiple pieces = professional opinion, lenghty stay in hospital and months of rehab before can walk again = ten days in hospital and riding again after 4 months. Totally agree with Mark. PMA is the best healer there is.

Carsick 02-03-05 12:10 AM

I voted for the wussy dependent on weather answer.
Will try and make it, though, since I haven't been for a month or so.

Rider 02-03-05 04:44 PM

Hi guys - I'll probably pitch up on the back of the Africa at around 10 pm. The SV hasn't left the garage for weeks now. Although looking weather-wise, Sunday looks good for a ride out and my baby, I am sure, is feeling neglected.

Hopefully see some of you on Friday.

It's snowing like fook as I am getting ready to go to work. BUT I'LL STILL BE THERE hope these are not famous last words

Mr Toad 04-03-05 08:23 AM

yep, snowing heavily in central London at the mo, but doesn't look like it will settle (famous last words)

I could do with the loan of a knee tonight to help straighten my radiator
Jonboy has already volunteered to scrape the remains of the pedestrian off it

I'd be extremely wary of trying to straighten a rad. They're like brake levers, they only bend once.

Mr Toad 04-03-05 09:02 AM

it's not actually bent, just the 'hangers' or whatever they're called that are bolted to the frame - it's been shifted sideways by an inch or so, just needs pushing back, but I can't quite manage on my own - need to hold & push at the same time

You sure about that? I've bent my rad several times

TSM 04-03-05 09:07 AM

Can anybody supply a brake pedal for me tonight? Anybody hapen to have spare black bits for the R&Gs?

Kate 04-03-05 09:08 AM

Ok, its snowing and settling here now

The weather does not look good for a trip to Soho tonight :?

lynw 04-03-05 09:17 AM

for once where I live it was sunny when I left.... snows moved north as met office predicted (see the idle banter current weather warning thread)

but since its moved to south london may still have issue of going home tonight so unless it turns to rain as predicted Im getting an early train to Ashford before the whole network collapses again....

Its settling on the roads/pavements by London Bridge so please take care if anyones out and about...

It started snowing about 10 minutes after I starting driving to work and I'm now sitting in the office in the Docklands watching the snow mount up outside, where it isn't gritted.
