Do Biketeam actually exist?

I've now left them two online quotes, no response a week later, and they don't seem to answer their phone either... Fair enough, they obviously don't want my business but has anyone else been able to get a quote from them recently?

I took insurance out with biketeam back in january easily the best quote after looking around, first time i filled in for a quote they e-mailed me a price back within 2days i think second time when changed a load of details they never got back to me so sent them an e-mail saying i wanted to take it out but had got no reply and they soon got back then.

Suprised you cant get them on the phones at all though.

I renewed my insurance with them earlier this week. Very helpful when I wanted to change a few things which meant a different underwriter from the reneweal quote.

When I first took out insurance with them I had to get the on-line quote and then ring them with the reference number. They had a deal where they knocked £20 off the on-line quote if you took that quote within about 14 days.

I've never had any bother getting throught to them on the phone.

How strange.

Ah well, as a result of their phone (tapping) expertise CIA got my money...

OF.uk 05-03-05 06:03 PM

I spoke to them today. They picked the phone up after 2 rings. It's definitely just you that they don't want to talk to

Figures

They're very bad at reading emails. I had an apology a while back from them saying their system was broken. Seems its broken again, as I've sent them emails with no response.

Phone them up.

Nah, I got tired of hearing their phone ring so I just went elsewhere. Shame, they seem to have a good rep.

I was amazed how much cheaper the quote was they offered me, i took it of course.

wish i never did though, after crashing and writing the bike off they were total and utter crap. but then that seems to be the case with every insurance company.

god i hate that industury.

Prostitutes and Convicts?

I am with Biketeam although I have yet to use them in anger, Cheap, but I don't know about the service in the event of a claim.

Like any indusustry, you get what you pay for. Pay nothing get nothing....

Generally, pay a bit more and you see an improvement in service. (I did say generally)

I've claimed through biketeam. A bit slow, but fine apart from that.

Don't know about cheapest... Cheap enough that I couldn't be bothered looking any more :) Not impressed with them so far, they've failed to send me a cover note, policy documents or similiar, or the forms I need to complete for the mods- on the other hand, they have managed to send me two rude letters telling me to return the mod forms within 7 days (one of which was sent the day I bought the cover, the other about 4 days later...) so we're not getting off on the right foot... Then when I phoned them up, all they would tell me was "Well, it says here we've sent you a reminder". "Yes you have, you've not sent me the thing you're reminding me of" "Well, I don't know abou that, but you need to respond to the reminder" AARGH!

I'm this close to just taking the 14-day cooloff period and getting my money back... Plus, they didn't read me any of the GISC boilerplate, very cheeky (even though insurance is under the FIA not GISC any more they're still supposed to use the old boilerplate and disclaimers)
