Nodding while pedestrianised
 

Something really odd happened today... I went out to the chemist, and I saw a guy coming along on a CBR... I recognised the bike- we've chased each other through the twisty bits out past ,my house a few times, but we've never actually met... I gave him "The Nod" as he passed, and he nodded back! have I attained some biker aura? :)

Yep. I do it in the car too, since its always works car as well, they are generally BMW or Mercs, if the biker notice i get what can only be described as a look of death back from the rider. Evil Stare fantastic!

I nod when I'm riding my push bike. What a prat! I wouldn't nod back at me either!

I do it all the bloody time - in the car, on the bus, at the ped crossing at Highbury Corner.....

It does work in the car though - I had a biker stop at a junction and treat me to a burnout followed by a wheelie the other day.

Yep I do it all the time when I see bike even when i'm in civvies, usually just get dumb looks :lol:

I was walking along recently wearing my bike jacket and guy on a duc actually gave me a nod :) Good observation i thought.

I do it too. People usually nod back!

I do it when the other biker is on foot too (although not in a bike shop/show- that'd just be weird :) ), like if I'm out on a saturday afternoon and there's someone else who is obviously a biker.

i'll do it if i've got leathers on etc

i did it once and forgot i wasn't in leathers and wondered why the miserable git didn't nod back :oops:

I too am guilty of nodding from my truck or car. Sometimes I get strange looks, sometimes they nod back :?

I was in Le Mans a couple of weeks ago, waiting at some traffic lights a biker pulled up alongside, I nodded as I was looking at his bike, He was then looking at his bike to see if it was still in one piece. I realised he thought I was mad, so showed him the cover of a bike mag. :o

As he rode off he waved his leg at me :P

not deliberately... :lol: but I do sit out a bit and look down the white line and then have to remind myself Im NOT on the bike and I cant overtake... :oops: :lol: :lol:

apologies to bikers around ashford if you come across a car in your line.... its probably me trying to drive like I ride.... :oops: :lol: good job Im rarely in a car I think....

and I too nod at oncoming bikers... just habit I guess....
