This is getting a little tyring arguing all the time on the forum about weather there should or should not be a different day for selkent meets.
We have seen that there is obviously a need to have a seperate day for some people to come along. It was apparant in a recent poll that this day could be tuesday.

I am simply following up on lyn's Idea of alternating weeks! Rather than replacing some of the meets should there simply be an additional meet day? And if so should it be in the same place, or would we like some variety? I am taking for granted it aught to be tuesdays!

option 2 or 3, voted 3 tho...

I've voted 2 as I think the food selection is not great where we usually go. Its burger or burger or chips....

voted for the weekly alternate weds/tues same pub but happy if the majority choose different pub....

that way everyone gets to go... we keep the biweekly wednesdays, those who can go [most :wink: :D ] tuesdays get to go... and hey a bit of variety never hurt no-one

Ah, no. I have never had a burger at the Harvester. To be honest, i cant actually remember when i had my last burger, so ner. I usualy have chicken when im down there.

I voted for option 2 as variety is indeed the spice of life. I'm such an infrequent meet attender that my vote should largely be ignored but I may come to more if the venues moved around a little as the 50 miles I have to ride to get to a Harvester seems a little excessive for such a small reward to me.
I reckon if we occasionally met at a really nice country pub I could be more easily persuaded by Tim to actually get off my fat a**e and meet up with everyone :shock:

alternate tuesdays/wednesdays at the same pub? well it would avoid confusion for new members I guess....

However if we do that theoretically it should then start tuesday next week with the next wednesday on the 18th.... are we going to do that or leave it so the tuesday meet is the 17th?

then what do we do about the wednesday? do we miss a week and make it the 25th or keep on the 2 weekly thing and have it on the 18th and you run another tuesday in between ie on the 24th?

only by one week... so instead of the 18th its the 25th and fortnightly thereafter....

after all when it was put forward for tuesdays it wouldve worked fine to have one next week and keep the 18th...

there comes a point you have to make a sacrifice and make a choice of which to attend if things clash... its not a perfect world and sometimes you just got to choose .. rather that than mess 13 people about surely?

so there is nothing this week, just to make sure.

another two weeks for the wednesday people insead of in one weeks time and one week for the tuesday people.

I will be bored next wednesday then, oh well there is probably somthing on the tele.
