LED's

Tomorrow I will be doing something like this to my bike not as extreme though just 4 Blue LED's on my Air box shining down through the V twin

I know theirs a lot of dispute over this but I think it looks good!

oh and im gona have a switch under the fairing at the front by the bars two

I recon this will look good on my curvy silver SV

suzsv650 12-06-05 10:14 PM

suzsv650 12-06-05 10:15 PM

LOL i wont have them on all the time only when im showing off

its only 4 LED's lol

ophic 12-06-05 10:18 PM

go for it. If you like it, then all's well. I don't think things that people diss cos they are associated with chavs necessarily look bad. Not that i'm saying its chavvy, you understand

Vtwinlover 12-06-05 10:24 PM

Give it a go it may well look good.

I wonder if anyone ever has put Burberry on their bike, seat cover maybe or a tank pad

Blimmey look what i found

suzsv650 12-06-05 10:27 PM

HAHAHA!

ta.. im right in thinking the SV is normal and running a 12V battery stupid but i need to make sure as i may have to buy resistors to stop the LEDs from popping.... i'm gona show those chavs how to do it properly!

WelshWop 12-06-05 11:02 PM

Make sure only the glow and not the actual led can be seen as they will be road legal then :D

$i 13-06-05 05:38 PM

DO IT! so what if its a bit chavvy, still looks good! like marmite, you either love it or hate it! or your just getting to old! jk.

suzsv650 13-06-05 09:42 PM

wel i put them on but only in the engine with a switch. have you got yours wired up straight from the batery with a switch ? ill prob take them off and put them on in the winter or something

yes.

Taking them off during the winter would probably be a good idea so they dont screw up the typical british wet weather. even though they said there water proof.

tinceysv650 14-06-05 11:21 PM

Red ones 15-06-05 05:25 PM

Halfords do a remote controlled on/off switch do you could switch them on from a distance!!!

I'll get my coat...

hutchy 15-06-05 06:23 PM

 OMG naff city, you really want your bike to look like this?
Is the SV a chavs bike - surely not? :(
Do you have special leathers to fit your medallion and gloves that show off your bling. 8)

You'd think the extra light would promote safety - but I think most cars would try and run you down as a favour.

madmartyn 15-06-05 07:11 PM

i dont think its chavy at all if done tastefully, and if ya got a clean shiny bike why not show it off a bit

Grinch 15-06-05 07:55 PM

I've got the LED's in my garage for mine just need the time to sort it...

If you want to ride a harley - buy one, you can have lights and chrome galore, it goes with the image.

You got a "sports" bike, treat it like one.

PS you could also get honda goldwing, comes with amazing bar end tassles that flap in the wind.

Topper Harley 18-06-05 11:18 PM

if you are looking to be different Halfords do a nice aluminum spoiler you could fit one on the back of your sv. All the africans and albanians have them on there cars around here, so they must be good.

Got mine on friday and wired them up. They work fine and come with switch and regulator to stop them blowing. I've fitted the wiring but waiting for belly pan before i put the tubes on. I've mounted the switch on right of bike on plastic you take off to get to seat bolts. Easy to get to and kinda out of wind/rain as it's behind your leg.
