Pah! Let's get that Guy Owen in as Moderator!

Peter Henry 15-01-06 01:28 AM

Indeed one of Her Majesty's finest!

amarko5 15-01-06 02:00 AM

I find him one of the cleanest chaps i have ever met

(for christ's sake he even bathes his leathers)

even his bike is spiffingly clean

(except when we have a run in rainy april to coniston water)

He is also gifted in the engineering of revitalised exhausts

(even if he does this at the taxpayers expense ) :P

also very good at moding fairings with perforated cladding

Although recycling perfectly new oil filters is hardly green :P

Well yes i do and it's a great all round bike, + i dont get the pain in the back or the numb **** anymore.

not a great deal more power than the SV but it has grunt a plenty at low revs, this suits my style of riding ( i like to point and squirt on tight twisty roads ) handles pretty damn nice thank you :) and sounds the mutts nuts with twin CCC's on it

if you want to know anything more use the PM button mate

HAHAHA, sorry guys, i call in here every few days and keep abreast of whats going on, especially you Peter Henry. I dont post as often as i should ! Cloggsy, i missed the post on the troubles with the KTM m8, sry to hear, Peter, if i win the Euro lottery (80+ million) can you find me a decent spanish property ???? Hope Dave and Jo are sweet with the house now, lol ??? bet that black naked SV has a few hundred more miles on it now. Probably Dave venting his anger on the missing SV 1000 and how it turned into a new bathroom, must show me that trick some day!

Hope everyone else i missed is ok, nice to see the North/South Divide getting together, especially with Jelster at the helm, he`s an old hand (very) and the more cross pollination we have with the southerners the more we realise just how good it is to be a northerner, (tongue in cheek).

cheers you people................

Ian

not changing subject tooooo much but how dyou find spain, been out there long? uncle of mine moved to benalmadina couple of years back n loves it. four of us rode to plym.. got ferry to bilbao n road spain in ten hrs (what speed ocifer). enjoyin it out there? :)

Peter Henry 20-01-06 09:48 PM

Mal....it aint all it's cracked up to be mate.

Watching plane loads of Brits arriving in their shorts no matter what the weather when they get here, they got to have the shorts on cos they are in Spain!

Big over weighties in shrunken Tee shirts and well rounded beer bellies that steadilly grow crimson under the sun. All those badly spelt tattoos, oafish and aggressive behaviour. Calling everyone Manuel and radiating pride as they just ordered in fluent Spanish another San Miguel.

And if you think the women are bad, the blokes are even worse!............ :) :)

madmal 20-01-06 09:56 PM

lol, like it peter. my geography of spain is not brilliant at all. do you get along to gp's or any other racing then 8) n hows the golf going? sigh-its a hard life :D

Peter Henry 20-01-06 10:56 PM

Mal..I will be joining the annual pilgrimage to Jerez again this year as it is absolutely ace! From here we have a superb route through mountains and countryside to get there.

My golf has suffered this last year as my head has been turned more and more by my bike! 8)

madmal 21-01-06 05:59 PM

jerez aye, good on ya buddy. must admit some of the roads we did out there around rhonda etc......fantastic views..wicked routes. just got new job of senior supervisor at work (decorators/gardeners/plumbers etc) so preasure is on a bit at moment. not had much time to think/plan any trips just yet. all in good time aye. :D

Peter Henry 01-02-06 09:16 PM

Mal..The Ronda Road and beyond are my favourite "test tracks" I am to be seen hooning up and around there most weekends! marvellous! 8)

madmal 01-02-06 11:10 PM

you jammy person you (nearly went for it then). what ducati are you riding nowadays then :?: sounds like you picked a good spot to chill with them kind of roads. you get to portugal at all...fancy this as a trip one year. cuddly half often talks about touring europe a bit more. finance permitting etc think we'll give it a crack. have to flog another sprog :!: :) :)

Peter Henry 02-02-06 08:55 AM

Mal...No not ventured to Portugal as yet. It's bad enough putting up with a Portugese Father in Law! My riding fun presently is on one of them unreliable, uncomfortable, ugly and over priced Ducati 749S.

If you have a strong stomach go take a look at this link on Jelster's web site:

http://www.urbanbiker.co.uk/galleries/peterh.htm

 8)

madmal 04-02-06 07:20 PM

what can i say pete. checked site and you are obviously very impressed with ya bike. good on ya mate. funnily enough mine is a "she" bike..lol. i think you get this idea that if you treat her gentle like, she will look after you. daft i know but it works for me also. respect is what it is, for bike and the little lady. when you get a machine that makes an impression on you like this, its what having a bike is all about. ride safe bud. :D ...until you approach those bends again
